Calvin Kattar vs. Arnold Allen is the headline event for UFC Fight Night betting on Saturday, October 29.
This should be a banger between a pair of highly-ranked featherweights looking to earn a title shot. Kattar opened as slim UFC odds favorite but has since jumped the fence with Allen now at -120 and Kattar the underdog at +100.

Kattar vs Allen betting preview
Calvin Kattar is the No. 5 ranked featherweight contender and will try to bounce back from a split-decision loss to Josh Emmett in June. That was an extremely close bout, with Kattar having a 130-107 edge in significant strikes and 14 of 19 media outlets grading him as the winner.
Kattar also headlined the first UFC card of this year when he easily outpointed Giga Chikadze as a +160 underdog, winning by scores of 50-44, 50-45, and 50-45.
The 34-year-old is 7-4 in the octagon and has earned a Fight of the Night bonus in each of his last three defeats. Despite a background as an outstanding high school wrestler, Kattar prefers to keep things standing up with his crisp boxing and vicious elbows. The Boston Finisher has lived up to his nickname, with four of his last six wins coming via KO/TKO.
"Almighty" Arnold Allen is one spot behind Kattar in the featherweight rankings and is on an 11-fight winning streak, including nine straight victories in the UFC.
Allen is coming off the best performance of his career in March when he knocked out Dan Hooker in the first round to claim a Performance of the Night bonus.
The 28-year-old is a well-rounded fighter that combines technical kickboxing ability with solid wrestling and forward pressure.

Kattar vs Allen UFC prediction and best bet
Our prediction is compiled from the analysis of the fighters and is an indication of who we are leaning with to win this bout.
Our best bet is the play that we like the most for this fight or where the most value lies, and is where we would put some of our bankroll behind.
Prediction: Kattar ML (+100)
Allen's best chance of success will come from trying to implement his grappling but Kattar is a very strong defensive wrestler with a 91% takedown defense. With Kattar capable of keeping this fight standing up, he should have the advantage.
Allen's not always busy enough on his feet and has never been in a fight scheduled for more than three rounds. Kattar is a high-volume striker and his last four fights have gone the full 25 minutes.
Kattar is very steady in his output and has turned it on in the later rounds even in defeats to Emmett and former Top-5 featherweight Zabit Magomedsharipov. We saw Allen fade in the third round against Sodiq Yusuff last year and that could prove to be the deciding factor in this five-round main event.
Prediction: Calvin Kattar moneyline (+100 at DraftKings)
Best bet: Kattar ML (+100)
Allen has a lot of momentum but he hasn't faced the same caliber of competition as Kattar, and long-term injuries to his hands have hindered his activity over the years.
Sure, Hooker was a ranked lightweight, but he's on the decline of his career and never had much success at 145, while Gilbert Melendez was 37 years old and on a losing streak when Allen dominated him in 2019. Arnold's fight against Yusuf was pretty close and if he didn't get a flash knockdown in the second round (not officially ruled a KD), he might have lost the fight.
Kattar has gone up against killers in this division like Max Holloway, so we know he has a granite chin and he throws a lot of power in his shots as well. With money coming in on Allen and Kattar now installed at plus money, I'll back the short dog.
Pick: Calvin Kattar moneyline (+100 at DraftKings)
