UFC 257 Odds for Title Fights
Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 2
McGregor and Poirier fought at 145 pounds all the way back in 2014, with McGregor winning via first-round knockout en route to an eventual featherweight championship. However, much has changed in the more than six years since then.
McGregor has a career record of 22-4, with 19 knockouts, but has fought in the UFC just twice in the last four years as the Irishman has flirted with retirement while pursuing interests outside the octagon.
Nonetheless, McGregor is fresh off a first-round knockout of Donald Cerrone last January and opened as a -184 favorite for this lightweight matchup with that line since shifting to -275.
Poirier (+225) has gone 6-1 in his last seven fights and is currently No. 2 in the UFC lightweight rankings. That lone loss came against Khabib Nurmagomedov, who dominated all his recent foes—including McGregor.
With Khabib announcing his retirement after his title defense in October, the winner of McGregor vs. Poirier 2 would be on the fast track to claim the vacant championship.
