No argument there, but the point is that until we get some type of playoff system, the National Championship is going to be an election, and undefeated teams in the BCS go to the head of the class, no matter what type of schedule they play.

Penn State will end up being overrated, unless they slip somewhere along the way to their showdown with Ohio State.  The Big 10 is not a good conference.  They cannot compete with the SEC, Big 12,or Pac 10, and the ACC probably has passed them also.  But, we are stuck with what we have.

Totally agree.  They lose to Florida in the SEC, and Okie State and Georgia Tech non-con.  They may lose another SEC game to LSU, though they get them at home.  The rest of their SEC schedule is pretty soft.

Yeah the ACC is tuff sledding .... North Carolina could easily lose 4+ games ... but I really like the defense , especially the front 7....  and think 10-2 seems about right ...

I agree 8-4 is what I am guessing for now ... even with a Win in Stillwater the Dawgs have some tuff games on tap and 3+ seems really likely ... ...

I was shocked to see you thinking USC will lose 4 games ... While the Trojans lose alot from LY they usually just reolad ...

The only way an undefeated Penn St. doesn't play in the NC game is if there are two other undefeated teams from the Big-12, SEC, or Southern Calif.

I would hope so, and I would be all for that, but I really don't think that would happen.

Maybe they would get passed if there is one other undefeated but not if they are the only undefeated. imo.

There is no chance what-so-ever.  Do you know anything about the computer part of the BCS?  The computer automatically takes away points for a loss.  It is impossible for a team to make those points up against another BCS team.  The formula's simply will not allow it.  It is an automatic.  If a BCS team has less losses than another BCS team, they automatically rank ahead of that team.  It is also an unwritten law in the polls.  You do not vote a BCS undefeated team lower than a 1 loss team.  Look at Ohio State back in '06.  They played a schedule that our local Juco team could have gone 6-6 against and naturally went undefeated.  They were dogs in the NC game against Florida, and got their tails kicked.  But they were the #1 team going into that game.  Those are the rules.  That is the way the game is played. 

That is hard to say.  UNC does get 12 days to think about the game.  It is on a Thrusday Night.  Who know what Florida State will do?  Talk about an unpredictable team.  If Florida State is in the thick of things, you do not have to worry about a look ahead situation.  If not, then it may come into play.
