why bother reading the short ones, pecador ?? I understand thanking the guy for giving some thoughts but can't understand the concept of wanting less information. I appreciate what Nos shares but would want more of his thoughts rather than less. Whatever.
Apologize if I missed it somewhere, but how do you think the southern mississippi at south carolina game plays out?
best of luck, nos

what's up doc - try to give 4-5 key points for each game...not really time to get carried away with 13 sides (and 2 totals), BOL doc
baja - same to you buddy, BOL on a great season
clown - interesting matchup - like the So Miss defense to improve some after struggling at times last year (#80 yds allowed), quite a few questions on offense with which QB will start, rebuilding OL, finding other receivers to go with Brown, and breaking in new RBs...some of those beginning to get answered in fall camp and Davis making first appearance looked good in scrimmage (18-26 215) and some RBs and WRs appear stepping up. As far as SC they appear to be pretty solid all around, however not a big fan of Garcia and other than win over NC St (34-0) couple years ago not great as favorite laying more than a TD, Saunders also another question.....slight lean to USM, might have to get involved with small degenerate play if they continue to answer some questions in camp, BOL clown

not that much happening in early camps
Georgia - defense dominated in scrimmage (Murray struggled with 8-20), Ben Jones have arthroscopic knee surgery today however should be ready for opener according to Richt
Hawaii - OL Lefiti (replacing C Estes) has an injury and will be out early part of year according to coach, site does not say what it is and not on injury report, not sure this can be a good thing against USC DL
Navy - coach wants to throw more this year, 39 combined passes in scrimmage
Auburn - WR Travon Reed is making plays
Okla St - LB Lemon (90 tkl in 08) appears 100% after knee last year

I noticed that you have Georgia over Louisiana in week 1 as a Large play.
I agree with you. Ga has the best line in the country, top 5 RB's, top 5 WR's including the best WR in the nation with Green. New QB now that Cox is gone. And a suspect D. But, I have read that they have a new D coordinator who is in the mode of Coach Muschamp as far as aggressive D. Supposedly, the Bulldog Nation is pleased with his addition and the new focus on dominating opponents from a Defensive perspective.
The spread opened at 25 and is now stable at 28. I have not yet taken this game, but it was one of 3 plays I am also strongly considering along with Nebraska (-35) and Texas (-28).
I would appreciate additional insight from you on this Georgia v. LL game.
Hey, I like your Snoop Dogg Avatar. Over the years, when I see your posts, I think you are a hip assed rapper sitting with his homies in compton handicapping games. I know you are not Snoop, but in my mind you are Snoop. I bet the real Nos is some polite white guy computer geek living in the 'burbs, for all I know. How close am I?
Thanks for the take and good luck this season...

Maine Road - Good point it would be impossible for the Cougars not to improve.
Nostra - You are talking about Rien Long. He played for the Titans but tore his achilles in 06. And then in 08 he was in a bad car crash and almost died and that pretty much ended his career although he tried to get on with a UFL team last year but was cut.
As far as Brandon Rankin, he was actually being recruited by Alabama and LSU and for some reason came to WSU instead. We also got a linebacker named CJ Mizell who originally comitted to Florida State but didn't qualify. Supposed to be real good. We also have a stud dlineman named Travis Long. Started as a true frosh last year and put on a bunch of muscle for this year. He's a big time player so the defense should be much improved. I'm not getting my hopes up, but Im hoping they will at least be competitive this year. I'm okay with losing as long as they are closer games and they at least cover the spreads.

coach - good to see back my friend, BOL again this year
longhorn - rollin down the street, smokin indo, sippin on gin and juice, laid back (with my mind on my money and my money on my mind)...nah I'm still about 50 million short of snoop and live on the east coast...a second home in cali would work though
. Still like UGA at the 28 probably for reduced amount obviously since 3 pts movement...if ready to play the rushing game should work against front 7 that graduated leader Zanders and couple others and seems unlikely they can match up and WRs make a couple plays if Murray is decent, hopefully its a hot day as depth could be a factor in the 2nd on both OL and defense, expecting bulldog defense to be improved under scheme and coach..as long as Ealey and Green stay healthy they should be able to score a few
gocougs - appreciate the insight on the cougars, liking Rankin and Long quite a bit, not that familiar with Mizell so thanks for that, hope WSU has a good year...a competitive 15 pt loss in week one would be ok with me

having second thoughts about any of these plays, Nos? i find that when i bet a month before the games, i usually start to get a good or bad feeling about a couple as the games get closer, and that gut feeling generally is reliable...

jeep - GL to you as well
ULL - you probably name two of the better points in Rice favor, Mack getting overly tied up in running game (assuming Owls can stop it) and inexperienced QB...since the line end of last year would have been around 38-39 the oddsmakers have given some slack for QB loss and possible Rice improvement...35-13 is about as close as I can see that one and could happen like it did few years ago
nc - nah looks like Navy is still favored by 7 (6.5 some spots)
apoca - that does happen once in awhile, not having any second thoughts at this point..barring key injury 2-3 times a year might layoff or reduce and pay the juice

Also, I'm curious about why you like USC and Vtech? I haven't researched the games yet but I know Boise returned 20 of 22 starters. They lost that 1st round pick Wilson but it seems like they will be very very good this year. And I learned not to bet against them in big games like I did last year vs Oregon and TCU.
With USC it seems with the coaching change, player's leaving, coming off a disappointing season last year, maybe not having the same talent in past, I really think they are a middle of the Pac-10 team this year. I think they are a little overrated right now. I don't know anything about Hawaii, but I really don't think USC will be very good this year. I guess we will see though.

ULL, topper, island - BOL
cougs - thanks for the info, like the matchups USC should have against rebuilding Hawaii front 7, on the other side even with very good WRs I can see Moniz (not be confused with some previous QBs) taking some shots, USC secondary is very young which could be a problem, on the other hand at least Mays is gone so someone might actually get covered, couple injuries in camp hopefully Havili, Bryant or Lewis can play. Boise is a good football team, however is pretty much untested in road games against BCS schools (1-3 SU since 05) and when I-95 is packed it will be with hokie fans and be a home game, believe VT is strong enough to run against them and foster should be able to keep Moore off balance
gbobgunn - that's possible if the turtles play like last year, loss of curry is a factor although option tends to produce good numbers regardless, not really sold on Robinson however Terps could move the ball against rebuilding middie front 7
in this business important to remember even a well handicapped or 'right' side (not saying these are) has a 40% chance of losing
