There is no consistency here. If you cared about just a handful of homosexuals that you didn't know personally then clearly you would overwhelmingly care about billions upon billions of people dying in an unjustified crazy nuclear holocaust of a war.

You would be outraged that such a horrific act could have possibly occurred and done so much damage to humanity.

But I clearly understand why you couldn't say that it would terribly upset you, it would make you sound foolish and inconsistent as to why you would care because to you life is just meaningless.

But to you a homosexuals life isn't meaningless based on you first statement. Regardless though on how you answered the question you would still be looked upon as being a confused inconsistent person...lol

Do you clearly see your inconsistencies?...probably not cause you are blind and confused...lol

Well, if you had a brain you would realize it is two separate situations.

One has to do with how people should be treated, because I think everyone should be treated equally.  The other has to do with the intrinsic value of life.  Since I think this is our only life, I think everyone should get equal treatment while alive, BUT it is no loss (for me anyway) if someone I don't care about dies.

I know the feeling. I've done it before. Gotten into a debate, realized I was wrong, but since I was so adamant at first, I didn't wanna admit that I was wrong so I continued with my erroneous claims even though I knew I was wrong. No one is gonna hold it against you for admitting you missed our point initially, after all, you've been doing it for 170 pages. No, it is meaningful. We can prove this. Homosexuals exist. They are people. They deserve equal rights. Christianity exists. People are Christians. Some people think Christianity says to kill homosexuals. That is a problem for humanity. How does this have anything to do with the ultimate meaning of life? This issue only concerns our lives on this planet so it has nothing to do with ultimate meaning. What is your point?

Everyone SHOULD care about themselves. But some people care about others. That's ok too. It doesn't bother me. If you're a selfless person then good for you. How are these two inconsistent?

So it is more important about how hom sexuals get treated than if millions and millions get blown up by a bomb?

You realize that you're calling someone stupid right? When you are so incredibly stupid you can't even understand the point being made? If you can't understand the point, how can you even begin to argue against it.

Here we go! I've stumbled upon a solution. From now on, everyone will ignore you, Rostos, unless you preface your arguments with a statement expressing your clear understanding of what we are saying.

Example: "Mikniks is saying that xyz. He is wrong because..."

Example of what is not ok: "He is wrong because..."

He is stupid for essentially killing himself. He is not stupid for showing care and compassion. The underlying reason for killing himself was out of care and compassion. I think that killing yourself for any reason is stupid, but care and compassion are not. Life > care and compassion for others. That is my response for that.

As for homosexuals: showing care and compassion for them not only doesn't harm me, but it benefits society.

You see the difference?

It's amazing how hateful some atheist can be. It's almost like a Klan meeting with some of these crazy hateful posts. The only thing you got right scumbag is the fact that the Earth of course is more than 6000 years old. I have addressed this issue already. But let's get to the heart of the matter. The bible doesn't have inconsistencies. If you would take the time to read and understand whats going on. The different writers in the NT are all giving their OWN point of view. Just like in high school when they show the movie "The Lady and the Tiger" everybody has a different perspective on what's going to happen or what did happen. We all watched the same movie. That's the NT (new testament) they all have a different perspective. Jesus didn't marry Mary (the prostitute) this has been a rumor for eons but there is no record of them being married. Wait a minute hold the phone according to you atheist Jesus wasn't real anyways so how could they be married. This is just another example of atheist wanting it both ways. Jesus isn't real. Jesus is married to a prostitute. The shroud of Turin is a fake. Jesus was a famous magician. Jesus didn't rise from the dead. Jesus was never crucified. You can't have it both ways. You can't explain something scientifically and then when someone else presents scientific evidence dismiss that as unproven. Again you can't have it both ways but that's what the vast majority of atheist want.

In regards to this discussion on life being meaningless. I invite my atheist friends to read or study " A Course In Miracles" this a great way to practice to read. I was introduce to the Course by world famous Author and speaker Marianne Williamson. She was a personal friend of mine long before she became world famous when I lived in LA. Google her if you like and you will see an impressive resume. "A Course In Miracles" believe it or not was written by a life long atheist her name escapes at the moment but if you atheist have the courage which as you know is in serious doubt according to me. I challenge you to read about "A Course In Miracles" written by one of your own. Needless to say she didn't stay an atheist after writing this book but nevertheless it's a tremendous guide for self improvement. It comes in 3 parts. The Course is studied around the world. Marianne Williamson still lectures on the Course around the world as well. Check it out and maybe it will connect with you since it was written by one of your very own.
