Should i start a thread saying vanilla tastes better than chocolate?

There is as much purpose to that thread as you saying person sexuality is right......
Your opinion on certain things is relevant to society and certain things is not. You thinking vanilla is better than chocolate does not harm or benefit society.
You thinking homosexuals should be put to death (if you were to think that) is harmful to society.
Therefore, there is more of a reason to try and convince you that you are wrong in the latter than in the former.

In regards to this discussion on life being meaningless. I invite my atheist friends to read or study " A Course In Miracles"
I did, it is nothing more than a guide to mindfullness (mental discipline) with the results dressed up in metaphysical jargon. Mental discipline in any form will make one more effective in ones pursuits. Doesn't prove the existence of god, though. Nice try.

Do not annoy the wonderful people of Denver with your allegiance. I am sure you can get a nice house for under 100k in either of those two cities. MOVE! Secondly, to the two guys next to me who travelled from Pittsburgh for the game, great game, you guys ooze class. Better luck next year. I will be more than happy to buy the next round. Finally, for the guy two rows behind me with the Jesus comments, thank you Jesus, I am unsure if you shut him up or not but he sure was quiet on the way out!

I would rather there not be a nuclear winter. I enjoy my life and a lot of the things I enjoy come from other people (sports, movies, music, etc.). If there was a nuclear winter, many if not all of the things I enjoy would not exist. This would make my one and only life less enjoyable and that would not be good for me.
So to answer your question: I would be terribly upset if there was another world war, but I probably still wouldn't kill myself.

I am not. See definition of contradiction above. In order to accuse me of contradicting myself, you must point out a contradiction. I am rereading what I said and I don't see how my comments about nuclear war and life being ultimately meaningless are contradictory.

All those activities we humans engross ourselves with gives meaning and purpose to our lives, they are purposely designed so we can enjoy our existence of being alive.
If you really viewed life as being meaningless then nothing would make sense (sports, movies, music, etc.) and you wouldn't enjoy those activites.
Furthermore you wouldn't care and wouldn't get upset if the world entered into an all out nuclear world war because nothing makes sense anyway, it is all meaningless and we might as well just blow ourselves up into smithereens.
