If an apparent gap is found, it is assumed that God, by default, must fill it. What worries thoughtful theologians such as Bonhoeffer is that gaps shrink as science advances, and God is threatened with eventually having nothing to do and nowhere to hide.

You're too funny kk...lol We have been discussing God on this thread all along and now when I corner you with a question that you can't answer, you throw out something in la la land...lol That's called dodging a question you know you can't answer...lol
You cannot see, feel, taste, smell or hear gravity but it exist. So your argument is weak and that is not good enough evidence.
The burden of proof is not on me...lol You make it sound like we're in court and I'm the prosecutor and you're the defendant charged with a heinous crime...lol
All I know is that you keep telling Rostos and I that you don't agree with us that God exist even after I presented you with several evidence of why I believe He exist and it is still not acceptable by you and so I then pose a simple straight forward question to you, and you dodge it. You dodge it because you are guilty of blind faith that God doesn't exist.
One more time, here is the question: What evidence do you have that God doesn't exist?

How is there not one piece of physical evidence that he existed? Not one! No writings, clothing, something he built,....anything from Jesus. Not one shred of physical evidence from the most influential and talked about man in history??? REALLY?? Nobody saved anything.....yet we have physical evidence of many other things way older and less important. How can you possibly explain that?

It seems to me that all this discussion and energy focused on disproving the existence of God supports an indication that those who don't believe, are HOPING there isn't a God.
You're a lot closer to believing in God than you think you are. I HOPE you lay down your pride at some point in your lives and continue to ask God to reveal Himself to you. You will be overcome with a sense of Joy that is not of this world, and you will know it. And then it will suddenly all make sense, emotionally, physcially, scientifically, and logically.

So the billions of people who haven't heard of your "god" - are they hoping too? They believe in all kinds of stuff. Or are you so arrogant that your belief is more right than the billions of people who believes in something else? Or even people who believe in nothing. Come on. Planet Earth isn't even a rock in the universe.

Here you go again spinning the truth with your billions...lol
What did I tell you the last time?...forgot already?...lol
I told you if you're going to spew out stats just the facts...just the facts...this is a no spin zone!...lol
There are not billions of people living in the world's jungles. This is the 21st century if you haven't already known that...lol
But just let me tell you about people who haven't heard of God with a passage in the bible.
"When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God's written law. And the person, who do have God's law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it. For merely listening to the law doesn't make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in His sight. Even Gentiles, who do not have God's written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. They demonstrate that God's law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right. And this is the message I proclaim---that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone's secret life."----Romans 2:12-16

KK...I'm still patiently waiting for your response on the question:
What evidence do you have that God doesn't exist?
And please don't say something like, because He has never tucked you into bed at night, having hot cocoa & cookies and telling you old biblical stories from the past...lol
That is not evidence...lol

Billions of people don't believe in your socalled "god". Fact. You even said that only 20-30% of the Earth's population are Christian. 70-80% reject Christianity - a lot of them don't even know about this sect of yours and they have no desire to know. Why do the Christians have to send out missionaries? Are you guys the chosen ones who have to irritate the rest of the world with your garbage religion?

1. I won't attack your poor example, but obviously I KNOW gravity exists by virtue of the fact that when I jump up in the air, I come back down.
2. I don't need to prove that god doesn't exist. I already told you why. I won't repeat myself. You need to prove that he does.
3. There is absolutely NO SLIVER, NO SHRED, NOTHING tangible ever found that god has ever existed. How can this be? Since obviously god has existed for at least 14.7 billion years, you would think there would at least be SOMETHING? But no. All we have is a book written by humans and stories of delusional crackheads who hallucinate that they "see" the light or something like that.
Wind: I can't see wind. How do I know it exists? I see the leaves blow. I drop a piece of paper and it moves in the air. I feel my hair blowing.
The American Revolution: I wasn't there. There is no one alive who saw it. How do we know it happened? Artifacts. Buildings. Bones, etc.
God: I can't see god. How do I know he exist? The bible? Not valid because you claim the bible was written by god, therefore you already have to establish that god exists in order to prove he wrote the bible. People? Stories? "Eyewitness" Accounts? Howbout something physical? Howbout a drawing of god? Howbout a picture? Howbout ANYTHING TANGIBLE. You have NOTHING. I don't need to prove anything.
There is an invisible cloud floating above my head all day. It warns me when danger is around. It gives me daily advice. YOU HAVE NO WAY OF PROVING THIS MAN DOESN'T EXIST. But, naturally, you should NOT believe I am telling the truth because it logically makes no sense that there is an invisible cloud floating above my head.
You presented evidence of why you BELIEVE god exists. And that's fine. I can give you TONS of evidence of why I BELIEVE god doesn't exist. But you have no evidence that he DOES exist. And I don't need to provide you with any evidence that he DOESN'T.
Think of it like a court since you seem to like that example. You have to proof beyond a reasonable doubt (when in reality you can't even prove by a preponderance of the evidence). I am right (not guilty) by default unless you prove that I am wrong (guilty).

No, Jehovah Witness is not Christian, although they consider themselves to be Christians because they believe they are serving the true and living God.
Like all non-Christian cults, the Jehovah's Witness organization distorts the essential doctrines of Christianity. It denies the deity of Christ, His physical resurrection, and salvation by grace. This alone makes it non-Christian.

A lot of evangelicans don't see Catholics as Christians.
Not quite true. Since Vatican II, Rome calls Evangelicals 'separated brethren' while Evangelical leaders, acknowledge the Roman Catholic Church as another Christian denomination.

If there is one truth only as you say in the bible -. how come Christians can't agree.
That's a very good question rjs. Yes there is only one truth in the Holy Bible and Christians can't agree because there are many denominations of Christianity.
First, nowhere in Scripture is there a mandate for denominationalism; to the contrary the mandate is for union and connectivity. History tells us that denominationalism is the result of, or caused by, conflict and confrontation which leads to division and separation.
Jesus told us that a house divided against itself cannot stand. These denominations are based on disagreements over the interpretation of Scripture.
Presbyterians and Lutherans are examples of Christian denominations. Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses are examples of cults (groups claiming to be Christian but denying one or more of the essentials of the Christian faith).

No...it's not me that needs to prove God exist or as you put it on an earlier post, the burden of proof is on me, quite the contrary. It is in your best interest that you for your own sake prove to yourself that God doesn't exist.
Remember I'm the one that's going to be rewarded eternal life in paradise and live happily ever after in God's Kingdom of Heaven because I'm the believer who has accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord Savior, whereas you are the one that rejects Jesus Christ as your Lord Savior and will be punished for all eternity in hell.
So where I stand I'm looking pretty darn good but I honestly can't say that for you. So if anything as I said for your own sake and best interest, you need to prove to yourself that God doesn't exist. You have the rest of your lifetime to work on it, however long that might be.
