Assuming this is for real (i know, i know), I am amazed that you did not bother to at least hedge your original bet! Why be willing to lose it all when you could of at least assured that your mortgage loan would be paid back down in full. There is gambling and then there is stupidity. Since hypothetically you were looking to win 4.5 million, putting just $500,000 on Royals would still give you an extreme gamblers high while also being able to sleep at night knowing at worst you are back to even as if the huge ballsy bet never happened.
Please tell me you hedged after game 1. You still could have gotten an 'okay' hedge in place to cover the original bet while still winning 3 million if Mets take it. Should KC win game 2, you will really be hosed as hedging at that point will suck. Of course, I expect the Mets to be quite tough to beat at home since KC will not be using Kendrys Morales since the DH goes away.

It's good to be a confident person but too much confidence on gambling means arrogance, now you should be sorry that you didn't hedge which would at least lead you to an easy over 1 million winnings.... Sorry to say that but KC will most likely finish off mets in 5 games

Surely you read my post directly above yours. This is real. Please go back and read my post if you have not. If the Mets come back to win this series, GD will have hotels on Tennessee, Marvin Gardens and Park Place. If he loses, he will have to mortgage Baltic Avenue. I hate this outcome, not only because I am a huge Mets fan, but GD was going to let me stay at Park Place for free whenever I wanted. I'm bummed.

Assuming all else is true (which it is not), you need to assassinate your "brain trust". NOT hedging was the worst financial advice of the century. Now go buy another monopoly game set and replenish your bankroll.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

I will not be hedging regardless of tonights outcome. The mets are going to win this series and I will be 4.5 million dollars richer. Ive got no fear in me and have a drive that only the best have, my foot is on the gas and im going miles a minute. I gave my ex wife a call late last night letting her now that my kids will be returning to their real home shortly, as always she called the police.

Now I know this bet was pure bullsh*t! At most you have a $100 or 2 on the Mets if even that??? Pure fluke that your Mets winning the world series idea made it this far! Lucky guess on how far the Mets would go is all! You came close.. Ill give you that but that is all!

Damn...I wake up every night between 3 and 4 am to cold sweats and trauma of risk that have not been rewarded. I've been through the ringer more times that I can ****ing remember and my conscience is still telling me to fire.
Over the course of the last 11 years i have manage to rebuild my life and my credit to some degree, but what is life worth living without some risk? I ran very well in the late 90's to the point where I could give it up, run away and ride into the sunset...but no, i flew to close to the sun. I lost my home, my kids, and dignity, which led me to have to build from the ground up.
I still bet significant sums on certain games during certain times of the season, but this one's gunna be my godzilla. I live a fairy comfortable life but am not where i would like to be at the moment.
I have managed to workout a remortgage on my property which i finally paid off a few months back. This time i have ice in my veins and blood in my eyes and i am swinging for the fences.
The value of the remortgage is slightly over 500k which i have dumped on the NY Mets at a 9/1. The bet was placed via wire transfer at a certain vegas bookmaker.
Now lets sweat this into retirement
Wow if you bet whole mortgage on the Mets I would have told you u are 1 crazy dumb behind person they would be no way in hell the Mets win the world series so I didn't tell you then, but I'll tell you now .What came up like a beautiful sunset will be going down in a ball of fire Bud JMO ..Not because K.C is up 3- 1 either... I bet 6 games since NYM @KC ,@CUBS AND NYM Series I picked and choose my spots and have come up to the tune of 4 -2 and total money wise I'm up $1481.00 to date..I made some good vacation money on the Royals, Mets- Cubs not so much I bet all NYM ,K.C GAMES except on the last game where NYM won which I thought would happen .So I played 3 NYM@K.C GAMES Won them all and 1 with K.C AGAINST T.O and won that as well ...The 2 eye lost where playing CUBS VS METS games which I loss both ,I'm up $1481.00 to date. The next game tomorrow is a iffy one so I`ll post something this afternoon about it Volquez vs Harvey The Wall Banger ...I have to take a good look at this one which makes me think, I might be laying off on this one but stay tuned Might play might not Later and wish you all the best Mr Gambling Divorce Guy .Like all the people are saying I would hedge this one asap just to Lighten up the load some...All up to you or you can double down on them and really make a serious cash out tick tock tick tock To hedge or not hedge ,To double down or not double down it happen before Teams can come back from the brink but you gotta believe and never waiver from that thought...
