The only thing I know is VEGAS is very weak. Back in the day yes I am talking Churchill Downs, Sahara, Aladin etc. 10 dimes on a play was never questioned. Take money move line. Oh the good old days seeing the Rocket car that Gene Maday won from Bob Stupak on the San Francisco vs. Cincinnati Super Bowl. Hanging with J.J. Walker at the Stardust sports book etc. The busload of tourists that came from Minnesota on a tour junket. They were all staying at the Sahara putting in their 20-100 dollar bets on the Twins to win the World Series. Oh may I add at 125-1. That was in early 1987. The regulars were still talking about it all month long. I could go on and on. Anyway a lot of great and smart info in this thread and I am pulling for you to win your bet. 

Probably never even made a bet at 5 dimes. 5 dimes is want to become a legal outfit in the States. They wouldn't stand a chance if they shut down and didn't square up.

Yeah that would be nice but I doubt it even if Mayfield is out. Only need 2 more though and I don't think the Browns win more than 8.

 LOL, that's cute. The world's come a long way since. Old skool got with the program. Some things will never change, like it's always best to deal with someone you know and trust.

To boil it all down to one common denominator, It's just a waste of time and energy going to Vegas for the sole purpose of placing 1 (large) wager and running from casino to casino to mete it all out or taking your chances with an offshore book (as legit as many are, there are weak ones). Why bother ? Having a local is so much more conducive.

Well to each their own I guess, but I’m pretty sure not too many locals are offering season win totals mid season. When I did bet through a local the limit was something like $200. And offshore sports books are all wonderful, until they aren’t. Intertops, bet365, fanduel, draftkings, and most others will absolutely NOT take a bet from anyone in Washington state. So now all I had to do was find a local who offers season win totals mid season and will accept $10,000 from a guy he has never seen before, and who also won’t say fukk that I’m not giving you Browns under 10.5  that’s an obvious winner. Sounds much easier than flying to Vegas. ??. You make flying to Vegas sound like such a horrific chore. I guess you have never been before. It is quite simple.

I fly to Vegas and place LARGE wagers every other weekend from San Diego. 45 minute flight from SD w/ multiple carriers flying non-stop hourly. Flights on Spirit/Frontier/Allegiant are cheaper than the Uber ride to the airport from my house! There's nothing better than watching the games in a high energy sports book environment with non-stop action, free drinks, great food and beautiful women. Vegas rules!

Totally agree. I'm shocked by this anti Vegas attitude on a gambling forum. Fly up, make some bets, watch some games, fly home. The night I went just happened to be opening  night NBA. There were people everywhere in the book with tickets on either Lakers or GS. The Lakers were up when I got there but then GS ran away with it. My bet is gonna win as they lost again yesterday and I'm much happier that it's Vegas owing me rather than corner bookie Sal Graviazianno. I'm sure glad it's Vegas owing my 5 figures rather than that Twitter account bookie someone suggested I bet through to avoid the trouble of going to Vegas.

Well, you're right. As diverse and modern as "Sal, my local bookie down at the pool hall" is LOL, he doesn't offer mid season team totals...                                                   So I understand your reasoning, and I get that you configured a solid play and didn't want to risk spoiling it. Fair enough.

What irked me to speak up about your post in the first place and again now, was two-fold. You were vague & elusive to start off with,                                                                     and when you finally made your intentions clear several days later/midway, it was of no use to anyone.

This post was all about you. Only you. DANNY9999: I've taken a play against CLE (5/5 on the season with 7 games left) under 11. My suggestion (should you wish to replicate my play,                                          (without travelling all the way to Vegas), is bet against CLE for the remainder of the season...

For what it's worth Danny, I love Vegas. Before Covid-19 I used to go for the better part of a month at a time once or twice a year. 

I guess for me (living up in Toronto, Canada), it wasn't all that convenient to hop skip & jump down there every time I got a notion in my head.                                                  But you got one in yours. Good luck with that play.

I agree, CLE is stacked with talent. But I disagree on QB.

I think Case (or as I like to call him - headcase) Keenum is a loser, as do the dollars kidnapped from my pocket awaiting rescue.

Mayfield won't be getting the BROW's to the StooperBlow, but he's the best chance they've got to make the season count.

Put it this way: Mayfield is kryptonite to Dean9999 / Headcase is liquid gold
