Completely agree with this bet. Tyrod was also a 23-20 as a starter for Buffalo (23-21 in games he played) during a reign where he never really had a true number 1 Receiver with Watkins injuries, and last year having Zay Jones (worst Catch per Target ratio in league) as his number 1 before Benjamin (who is trash too) showed up. They set him up for failure by losing Watkins, Woods, Goodwin. He had 4 Offensive Coordinators in 3 years, 3 new Schemes to learn in 3 years, and The Bills Total Defense was never better then 16th (2017), and on average like 22nd in his 3 years. Despite all that, he was 23-20 as a starter. He frustrates you by not passing for a ton of yards, but he knows how to move the chains, helps the run game, is a great touch passer, and number 1, rarely turns the ball over. The Bills were never worse then +6, in any year he played for Buffalo in Turnover margin. Plus, look at Buffalo now minus Tyrod...even after having 7 picks in the first 3 rounds (going into the draft) this offseason.
Crazy stat: Peterman had 8 picks in pretty much one full game worth of mins (Half vs Chargers, last drive vs Jacksonville, Half vs Baltimore). Tyrod had half as many picks (4) as Peterman, in his entire season last year.
Add this to a new improved Defense that has more depth in different positions, more strength in their Secondary with Ward, and Peppers and way more Pressure with Myles G, Okunjobi, Collins etc...and a revamped Offense with Tyrod, Landry, Callaway, Njoku, Hyde, Johnson,.
Lastly, the guy who mentioned about Pro Football Focus stats on Jets vs Browns is very misleading. The Jets would have been ranked number 1 out of all teams, after their Week 1 performance. You can't take too much out of rankings like that after only 2 weeks of the season. Part of it, is based on the Browns having to play New Orleans and Pittsburgh, while the Jets had Miami and a lackluster Stafford vs Detroit. Of course, the Jets are going to look like the better team, considering who they played against and they still got owned vs Miami at home. Since it is only Week 3, Football Insider has Miami ranked number 3, and New England ranked 19...Need I say more? Rankins like that don't even come into play till halfway to two/thirds of the way through the season. Teams come back to earth, or start falling apart...and the things fall back in the norm.
Anyway, really like the Pick Scalabrine....Lets go Browns!
