Week 9 last year: The Jets Defense forced 3 turnovers against Taylor and the Bills. This Thursday: I can see Taylor getting sacked and fumbling ball and the Jets Defense scoring a Touchdown.
Look for a defensive score prop. Wouldn't be a bad look in this game.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

Been lurking these forums for 14 years. I barely ever post. However, I have to agree with OP. I like this spot. One of my rules is never bet on bad teams. I also don't believe on betting on a team cuz they are "due". That being said, I don't believe this Browns team is due. I just believe they are the better team in this match up. They showed me some things in the first 2 weeks. They are hungry. I am not a fan of either of these teams. I havent bet on the Browns in YEARS, but I am taking the Browns -3.

I rather shyt my pants in public then put one penny on that pathetic Browns team win or lose. I’m not going to be the genius to guess when they finally win their next game. I actually think it’d be pretty cool to see them go 0-16 personally ... But bol

Jets or nothing. Steelers had the Browns beat by 14 in Cleveland but then handed them 14 pts on two very cheap turnovers. And Steelers are really bad this year.
People saying the Browns "should be 2-0" are literally clueless about football.

Your decision to take the Browns is justified, has plenty of merit to a handicap, and a Cleveland -3 COVER/WIN.....
N.Y. Jets vsCleveland Browns -3 @-110 2.2u
see ya at the bank Monday morning

I watched this very game last year and the coaching staff did EVERYTHING possible to lose this game with bone-headed play calling.Things have changed. McCown is no longer the QB and that matters. But the clincher for me is turnovers. The Browns have forced near a league high 8 in two games and lead the league in +/- at 5. The Jets have 5 in two games.A rookie QB will turn the ball over. It is too be expected. While Tyrod is and always has been one of the best to protect the ball. Despite an uncharacteristic 2 in two games. Also, the Jets run game is deteriorating. I think Cleveland will eat up Crowell. A winless team got rid of him for a reason. And Powell is hot and cold (more cold than hot as the season wears on and I've never been a fan).I thought these first two games were absolute losers for CLE, VERY tough games for them with PITT at home and NO on the road, and they did everything possible to lose both(a Myles Garrett push out of bounds pushing back a FG 10 yards to get blocked instead of a winning chip-shot, and then a missed PAT to win it). When CLE breaks out of this 19 game winless streak, they'll break out in a big way. The Jets although EXTREMELY impressive in Game 1 came back to earth at home when the table was set for a win.Plus the Jets are playing the most game possible in an 11 game stretch, 2 of the 3 on the road, which is always a detriment, particularly with a rookie QB.It's actually HOMERISH to CLE nowadays, but I have to do it here. CLE finally snaps the streak.I LOVE CLE coming into this game angry, FAR more talented than last year with stability at QB (and many other positions) ready to break out against a team on their level.CLEVELAND -3 over JETS
Rookie QB's struggle (especially on the road)
good stuff scal

Such an overreaction, Scal. Jets or nothing for me. This game should be a pk. My opinion is that you're laying 3 points for nothing.
You said the same thing last year in scals thread (Jets vs Browns) only difference being you took Cleveland to WIN; and they LOST, so much for your rhetoric, or is your memory impaired?
Browns -3 @-110
exclusively for the notorious PapaShango (who doesn't know his azz from a hole in the wall)

Tonight is the night Sports. Venez thanks. I tried to tell them.
365 days of waiting.
Imagine a capper so patient as to wait for a spot for a year. A black sharpie circle marking the very day that investment would pay off in full.
And to bring everyone along. To beg them. To plead with them.
Only to have them infected by a disease with no cure: SPREAD PRETENTIOUSNESS.
They pass up winners because the spread makes them feel dirty.
Sometimes you have to roll around in the me mud with swine to find the pearls.
Sit it out or bet the other side and you’re closing the door after the cow leaves the barn.
I’ve offered you a barricade of epic proportions to keep your cows in the barn gentlemen, ready to be milked the next day, bringing them the stability to sell that milk by the crate in town, and keep their farm and family prosperous.
And after all that, they’ll live bet Savannah State vs. NC AT&T for the same amount they’d swear they’d never bet on this game because they had a “gut feeling”...and lose.
Don’t pass this one up. Guys. Don’t be “that guy.”

I like the fact the Browns have a short week. Mentally, the game is out of their heads by Monday. I don't see them as a rattled group coming off a tough beat. Plus, I see their D licking their chops at the chance to rough up a rookie QB.
Why I'm turned off with the line...
A) Too much money coming in on the Browns...
B) The advanced line was -1.5 just two weeks ago. Cleveland did some good things in 2 games so far but enough to warrant movement like this?
Not on a side but...
I think the value in this game is the total. CLE D has played veteran, SB winning QB's the last two weeks and held them both in check. This is a huge step down in talent/experience at the position and they will make it a very tough night for Darnold, especially if/when he hangs on to the ball.
Total: UNDER (40).

Im all over the under , cant trust either team really to win strait up but I don’t see either offense getting over 20..If Brown backers love the -3 then they have to believe in the under 40, if it’s a lot points scored then the Jets would be the pick because offensively the Jets have more weapons. Let’s get this money!
UNDER (40).[/Quote]

If you’re on the Browns at -3 ,why not parlay it? -3 under 40

You state you have waited a whole year to make this -3 Browns bet.
How much money are you putting on this game. Seriously. The game of the year should be like a $5,000 bet.
Ah yes. It’s the good ‘ol:
“Hey you! Yeah you! The one giving me your picks with detailed analysis and further conversation, also sparking a gathering of the capping minds in your thread.
How much MONEY are you putting on this!? Your money! Not mine! I need to know because that changes the outcome and capping analysis! If you’re not Mr. Monopoly Man with a loop glass over your eye and intricately groomed handlebar mustache at the window then your cap isn’t worth the thread it’s typed in.”
If your kid delivers the newspaper for $5 a week are you going to wipe that days edition with you as* when he hands it to you??

Hey Papa, I can see that 'ball busting' is not in your portfolio, unfortunately, this thread is about the Jets vs Browns, not PapaShango's so called 'record' over the past six years.
get it right, or simply depart. enjoy the game.
who am I ?
