Breakthrough infections are rare among fully vaccinated people.  Under 1% of covid deaths and hospitalizations occur among the vaccinated.  Vaccines are highly effective in preventing serious illness but none are 100% perfect.  Harvard and National institute of health warn against taking high doses of zinc, vitamins C and D as treatment because of lack of evidence proving effectiveness and potential harmful effects.  Human body is self-regulatory and excretes excess zinc, so no way an inhibitory level could reach virus infected cells.

The only evidence I need 1/3 is me. I don't need your medical quacks giving me totally bogus information. Enjoy your spike proteins and prions running wild throughout your body! I bet you can not wait for a very worthless booster shot that is in your future!

As of 15 August, 514 Israelis were hospitalized with severe or critical COVID-19, a 31% increase from just 4 days earlier. Of the 514, 59% were fully vaccinated.  This Delta Variant is a different beast and it's clear that current vaccinations have diminished effects on it. I don't trust the effectiveness of a booster dose of the same vaccine but for the most compromised among us, it's probably better than nothing.

How about this. I recently read that the Delta Variant can easily test as a false positive to nasal swab as it doesn't necessarily breed it the sinuses like earlier variants. It attacks the lungs directly, making it more like to cause labored breathing, chest tightness/pain, pneumonia, etc. It's an interesting variant. Doesn't necessarily show swabs but more likely to cause sniffles/stuffiness. Less likely to cause fever, loss of taste and smell. So you may think you have allergies or a common cold until it morphs into pneumonia.

 I tell you what Stu, this country of ours is absolutely the most ignorant bunch I've ever seen. And is reflected right here on Covers. No more "actual science" it's a "tow the line" partisan view, attack those who question, suppress the facts that are contrary to the party narative, twist the facts to fit the narative. Take college football, several conferences have adopted testing for the unvaxed, no testing required for the vaxed. If a team doesn't have enough players to play (due to covid positives) they forfeit the game. So if a team is 100% vaxed, as many are, they NEVER get tested unless someone complains and reports their symptoms. So how many 18-20 yr olds are going to "REPORT" their mild but contagious symptoms and open up that can of worms??? ZERO!!! An entire vaxed team could be covid positive and we would never know! Then their opponent maybe has two unvaxed players. This 100% vaxed team infects their opponent, the unvaxed are the only ones tested and then test positive. They followup and test the rest of the unvaxed players team who had contact with the unvaxed, several vaxed players on THAT team test positive, (THEY WOULD) next game is forfeited for the team with two unvaxed players. WHO GETS THE BLAME?

The 100% vaxed team that started it all???  OH NO, it will be the unvaxed, the only ones first tested. 

So maybe one of these vaxed players gets covid, keeps his mouth shut of course, "I'll tough it out for my team", then gets myocarditis and dies on the field. It can happen and I think there is a high probibility it will happen this year. And then be covered up.

THIS IS LUNACY!!! The rules are made to PUNISH the unvaxed, not PROTECT HUMAN LIVES. 

And I wonder how many teams have an "unwritten rule", don't report symptoms, take a "personal leave of absence"  to avoid wholesale testing of the team. Can see that happening too.

And these folks on covers will be giving  to these rules. Unbelieveable!

You now see politicians who are vaxed and STILL are tested regularly are getting postives! You see the overseas data!! And yet vaxed college football players and staff can infect away. 

And on a selfish note; As a college football bettor, what happens when I bet on a team who has several vaxed starting players with covid? Will their perfomance in the game be subpar? I think so. They could be and most will be asymptomatic, yet their bodies are still fighting an infection, performance will suffer.

 I think everyone will be getting tested, regardless of vaccination, within a month of the season starting. The question is, what kind of tests will they be using and what number of false positives will there be.

The liberal Chicago mandate states all fans attending the Bills/Bears pre season game tomorrow must wear a mask outside while watching the game! Mayor Lightfoot's very generous nature will allow fans to remove the mask while taking sips of beer and taking a bite out of a hot dog. 

This sounds like a great time for something like the 'Boston Tea Party.' Let's have 50,000 fans walk down to the field. Throw there masks down on the Bear logo and light them on fire.

Breakthrough infections are rare among vaccinated population.  Kaiser family foundation found covid infections occur in under 1% of fully vaccinated population.  Vast majority experience mild symptoms and recover faster after infection.  However unvaccinated people still are at far higher risk of infection, hospitalization and death.  In the United kingdom, most infected people hospitalized are unvaccinated.

 Given that Israel has a large number of vaccinated people, some breakthrough cases are expected.  But Israel has only a fraction of covid cases that it had in January before vaccines became widespread.  Vaccines have proven very effective in reducing hospitalizations and deaths. 

Under 600 covid hospitalizations is rare out of over 5 million Israelis vaccinated.  Generally, unvaccinated patients are young and healthy.  Whereas, vaccinated patients are old, unhealthy and high risk.  For some, vaccines didn't trigger immune response because of medication or weakened immune system.
