The same decision has been made in Boston & Denver as well as other cities in the country. These are long standing requirements of every organ transplant patients.

Democrats agreed to Republican demands to scrap the requirement for service members to get a Covid-19 vaccination. The bill directs Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to rescind his August 2021 memorandum imposing the mandate. Only days earlier he voiced support for keeping the mandate in effect.

@kcblitzkrieg Anyone that ever served in the armed forces received vaccinations too numerous to name. I have no idea why it's such a big fucking deal now.
Unfortunately, anti-vaxxers have politicized vaccines. Since multiple vaccines are normal job requirements in the military, no reason why covid vaccine shouldn't be included for protection too. In third year, covid is still the third leading cause of death in the US. Although people are tired of public health precautions, experts say data shows the pandemic isn't over yet.

Let's drill down; Current US COVID death rate according to World O Meters is 271 deaths per day, steadly dropping since August. News reports from July and August show 58-59% of COVID deaths are the vaccinated.
That leaves 111 deaths per day of the unvaccinated and if they do vaccinate still a chance they can die
2353 people die each day from Heart Disease.
1670 die each day from cancer.
466 die each day from unintentional actions (accidents)
355 die day from Alzheimers
175 die each day from fentanyl
125 die each day from suicide

We are still feeling the fallout from what the Trump administration allowed to permeate our borders and spread like wildfire, despite the Biden administration trying desperately to save lives.

How has the border permeation been going since Biden took office?
You do realize the first case of the South American mutation Lambda COVID was first detected in Texas as was the first case of Delta. Uh, wonder why Texas???
Not to mention, anyone from all over the globe was allowed to cross our border during a pandemic surge, not required to be vaccinated, and then flown and bussed throughout the country.
Delta and Omicron like two new viruses. Both detected overseas first and Biden never stopped it or even slowed them down.

The military made the conscious decision to scrap the covid vaccine. I do not recall seeing in the news any other "vaccine" that they recalled from their list. The FDA regularly recalls drugs that they had previously deemed to be "safe". No different that any other drug that, as time has gone by and more and more data is known and analyzed, decisions can be made differently from what was originally thought.
I was just posting updated information..... we all know how certain former "facts" surrounding covid & vaccinations are now no longer considered "facts". There is plenty of factual information for people now to make their own informed decisions without any government mandate or other BS. If people want to keep their head in the sand on this then that is their right. Those are the same sheep driving around in their cars alone with two masks on and have gotten 8 booster shots. Their decision, not my problem.
Why does it have to be a partisan issue ?? Well, because the two sides wanted it that way from the beginning. I mean, look right here on this site. The Trump administration was in office when the vaccine was developed and first rolled out. People who want to bitch about the left conveniently leave this out while the Trump bashers use it to bash Trump while simultaneously TOUT THE VACCINE. Riddle me that one

Yes, and unfortunately the residuals in that regard emanating from the trumpty-dumpty criminal administration that downplayed the pandemic because of a self-serving neo-fascist president will persist for sometime.....and that, as you say, despite the Biden administration efforts to combat it.

Defense secretary and military leaders still support covid vaccination. They warn mandate repeal would undermine military readiness around the world. Unvaccinated troops are considered non-deployable in some countries. Mistake to politicize vaccination and not protect troops to get republican support for defense bill in congress. For decades, military support over a dozen vaccines for diseases less deadly than covid. Absurd to drop vaccine for third leading cause of death according to Kaiser family foundation analysis of Center for disease control data. From January to September 2022, over 572,000 deaths by heart disease, 454,000 cancer and 234,000 covid.

I will take a shot at that one.
Trump was booed in Alabama by his "followers" when he touted the vaccine. Why, because IMO the vaccine was by then weaponized to punished anyone who didn't blindly follow.
Imagine if Trump had been reelected? Who would not be taking the vaccine? How would the media treat the vaccine? Imagine if Trump said you must wear a mask. The roles would be reversed.
And one last imagine, and the biggest one in my book. Imagine our news media was unbiased and searched for and reported the truth?? Most of this shit would never had happened.

Portland state university study found republicans and blacks are most hesitant demographics to be vaccinated because of misinformation and less access to healthcare. Trump is known as the top source of pandemic misinformation. Republican leaders have failed the unvaccinated by attacking public health restrictions instead of promoting vaccines. Urbanized and most educated people are the most likely to be vaccinated.

Many people resisted Biden because of his divisionist ways after he took office. Making bullshit speeches that he would bring the country back together he really sought to crush his opposition with executive order after executive order. Several of which were blocked by courts. Saying get vaccinated and you won't get COVID two days after UK says 40% hospitalized are the vaccinated. Declaring pandemic of the unvaccinated when the vaccinated are contracting, spreading, and dying from COVID. Using data from January 2021 to paint a false picture.
Allowing the vaccinated to attend large events without current testing knowing full well the vaccinated are getting and spreading COVID.
Governor Whitmer setup a mass vaccination at Ford Field in downtown Detroit so those perceived as "lacking access" would get vaccinated. Those perceived as lacking access didn't show up but suburbanites did. Papers quickly reported white suburbanites hog up the vaccine.

Sad the Trump admin let down America.
Now he wants to get back in the White House where he wants to restrict voting to in person and election day only, then tear up our Constitution.
Worse is he's still supported by millions of cult idiots.

Japan had a strict tourist policy basically banning travel to Japan during the pandemic. It was pointed out prior to the Olympics they were only 1% vaccinated yet cases remained very low. By July of 2021 they were only 18% vaxed. Then by Oct of 2021 they were 78% fully vaxed and dropped their travel restrictions. As a result tourism increased by a million people in November. By February of 2022 COVID cases rose sharply, higher than ever before despite being a masking society and 80% fully vaxed. Today they are worse off than ever as a surge in August pushed the daily new cases to above 200,000 a day. Another winter surge is taking place and right now at 175,000 a day and rising. Death rates peaked near 300 a day in August and are now headed there again.
China had a strict zero-covid policy. They were killing pets, splitting up families, and even locking people in their rooms by welding their doors shut. It all came to a head when spontaneous protests erupted in many major cities. People, facing long prison sentences and even death defied the govt. as they just could not take it any more! The result? Chinese govt lowered the strict policies and COVID is now sweeping the country. Despite all that masking too.
Conculsion; COVID is inevitable, you can delay it by torturous methods but it WILL go through the population at some point, vaccinated/unvaccinated, masks or maskless.

"These results fit with other recent reports and indicate that booster shots enhance the durability of vaccine-elicited antibodies," said senior researcher Dr. Jeffrey Wilson of the University of Virginia (UVA) Health division of asthma, allergy and immunology, in Charlottesville.*

The advice comes as some countries consider the possibility of offering people second booster shots in a bid to provide further protection against surging omicron infections. Earlier this month Israel became the first nation to start administering a second booster, or fourth shot, to those over 60. The U.K. has said that boosters are providing good levels of protection and there is no needfor a second booster shot at the moment, but will review data as it evolves.
Boosters “can be done once, or maybe twice, but it’s not something that we can think should be repeated constantly,” Marco Cavaleri, the EMA head of biological health threats and vaccines strategy, said at a press briefing on Tuesday. “We need to think about how we can transition from the current pandemic setting to a more endemic setting.”
The EU regulator also said at the briefing that oral and intravenous antivirals, such as Paxlovid and Remdesivir, maintain their efficacy against omicron.
