USA today reports that DeSantis has reached a disgraceful new low in bullying.  He threatens to fine special olympics $27 million for requiring vaccine mandate for 5500 participants at Orlando games.  But vaccine mandate could potentially save lives.  Unvaccinated disabled people with down syndrome are 4 times more likely to be hospitalized and 10 times more likely to die from severe covid illness than general population.

Disney the special Olympics.... 

Obviously need to sanctioned.

Anything to distract that rising sea levels the super storms and astronomically high tides... Most of Florida could be submerged.....

Florida auditor general report exposes DeSantis response to pandemic.  He did everything possible to downplay seriousness of pandemic.  Under counts of cases and deaths.  Inaccuracies.  Incomplete and delayed reporting.  No competent effort at contact tracing.  He appoints a discredited surgeon general who doesn't believe in masks and vaccines. According to Miami Herald, DeSantis administration falsifies data and manipulates dates to show a decline in deaths when the opposite is happening.  Politics ruled over science.

The only “bullies” here are the organizers who tried to force athletes with complex medical needs to take shots, even ignoring medical exemptions. Thankfully DeSantis stepped in to defend the athletes. 

The Special Olympics dropped their mandate and now 70 kids with Down syndrome get to participate in the event of a lifetime. 

It is amazing that DeSantis was so bad with the pandemic yet.....

---people are moving to Florida in huge numbers.

---even if you were to find 3000 additional deaths states like New Jersey, Penn., Michigan, still have more deaths per million residents!!

---and how about those under reported nursing home deaths in New York and Michigan?

And the audit was critical for the first several months of the pandemic. And Florida's surgeon general agrees and changes being made. 

People like Thirdperson attack the surgeon general and call him discredited because he’s black.

The award winning Miami Herald has also reported on DeSantis failures during Covid regarding a bipartisan state audit.

As a citizen of the state, I saw it first hand & it helped convince me this guy was not a leader.

Everybody wants to point fingers at opposing politicians for mishandling Covid. Yet every state had their own issues.

Bottom line is we can't stop a virus. Trump didn't stop it, Biden didn't stop it. Determine who is most vulnerable and do your best to protect them. 

And determine the best treatment available and have it ready. 

And roll with the changes----really failed there. 

DeSantis responded to his Press Secretary Christina Pushaw having to belatedly register as a foreign agent: “The only reason they’re attacking her is because she does a great job, and she’s very effective at calling out their lies.”

The FBI didn't attack her, they questioned why she hadn't registered as a representative of a foreign agent. It IS the law and she was in non compliance for years.

Why not just say "she fucked up, lied about it & fixed it" instead of projecting blame on to others.

I mean doesn't every foreign agent forget to register???

Florida is the only state to skip pre-ordering covid vaccines for younger kids.  Despite Food drug administration approving moderna and pfizer vaccines for emergency use after outside experts confirm their safety and effectiveness.  But Covid vaccines are critical for children even though they face lower risks.  According to Center for disease control, over 30,000 children in the US have been hospitalized, making covid more dangerous than influenza and among the top causes of death.  While vaccines don't prevent infection entirely, they do lower rate of transmission and prevent severe illness.  This can help reduce the overall impact of covid since children can spread the virus to adults who may be more vulnerable.

Not sure of his strategy here on the vaccine for kids. But I can guarantee you he loves the publicity & staying in the news. His covid decisions have been sketchy at best from day1.

DeSantis Surgeon General has a book coming out later this month, and went on Bannon to promote it. He explains that he was molested as a child by his babysitter, and nothing he did in therapy helped until he was treated by a former Navy SEAL with Chinese healing techniques.

Duly elected attorney Warren is justified in discretion to not enforce abortion ban and anti-LGBTQ law.  Florida court has ruled unconstitutional the 15 weeks abortion ban.  So abortion remains legal until 24 weeks.  Meanwhile don't say gay law is still being challenged in lawsuits.  Dictator DeSantis bullies everyone who disagrees with him.
