It's nieve to think that China would follow the US lead.
I'm not saying do nothing, rather be F-ing reasonable in our approach and hold China accountable, which we do not do!
Sir Lanka a prime example of stupidity by jumping right in. Netherland farmers another example of pure stupidity by regulators. We weaken ourselves everyday while China strengthens. They know exactly what they're doing, by 2030 they will be in total control.
Idiots!!

Climate change deniers argue for no action because other countries aren't doing enough. But not all countries are equally guilty of causing climate change. Historic cumulative emissions of carbon dioxide by US 25%, European union 22% and China 13%. According to carbon project, tonnes of annual emissions per capita by US 16, European union 6 and China 7. Of course, developed countries have a responsibility to lead the way. But ultimately, all countries need to act because the world must reach carbon zero by 2050 to minimize impacts of climate change.

Looking at historic emissions is like Biden saying get vaccinated and you won't get covid two days after UK announces Delta strain has 40% of hospitalizations as vaccinated. Then Biden deflects to historical data from the original strain. Now you deflect to data from years ago.
The problem is straight forward, those that manufacture and grow our food produce the most emissions. Do we stop eating and purchasing?? Should we go full Amish? Of course not. Do you think China is an under developed country now? Change is happening and not going away if we turn a blind eye to the biggest polluters TODAY and the direction THEY are heading. It's economic suicide besides setting our selves up to be dominated.
It's like planting trees while your neighbor burns tires.
This screaming of doom always comes right before an election, they're doing it for power. Biden screaming at refineries to produce more should have been a wake up call. We are not ready to end fossil fuels.
Here's a few ideas; Stop having sport events like college football in Ireland. USC and UCLA joining Big10 a slap in the face to climate change. Unnecessary travel everywhere you look! And they pile on more.

In addition to the USA having the record for historic release of CO2 into our atmosphere we also own the record PER CAPITA!

The world was supposed to end like 20 times so for in my brief lifetime. Enough with the drama already.
Scientific consensus is that global warming is one of the biggest threats in the world. For years, global warming has been under estimated by scientists and climate action delayed by fossil fuel industry lobbying. Now climate change has already started and can worsen in the future. Expect more extreme weather. But the worst impacts may be avoided if all countries work on climate action.

Never mind that UCLA and USC have joined the Big10 which means swim teams, lacrosse, golf, football, basketball, baseball teams ALL flying back and forth to New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, etc, several, several times a year leaving a huge carbon footprint!
The biggest threat to the world and college TV revenue trumps it. Who woulda thought?
Even Harrison Ford;
Ford's private jet, a multimillion-dollar Cessna Citation Sovereign, has made at least eight trips stretching roughly 5,284 miles and emitting about 35 metric tons of carbon dioxide in less than two months, according to data from ADS-B Exchange and Celebrity Jets.
Ford, however, has made regular appearances at global climate conferences.
Sorta like Gavin Newsom telling everyone to stay home and maskup while at the French Laundry. Or Pelosi having a big outdoor fund raiser dinner with all guests maskless as their servants are forced to mask up.

UK Prime Minister Liz Truss ended England's ban on fracking Thursday, opening the door to domestic shale gas production amid a European energy crisis.
The return of fracking is just one piece of a larger energy and economy plan Truss is pursuing in her first weeks after gaining office. Her administration also announced a national freeze on household energy prices, a plan that will cost the government tens of billions.
Under Truss's plan, household energy costs will be limited to $2,900 per year after ballooning to $4,100 in 2022.
First they F-it up, and then they return to what actually works anyways, and throw billions away in the process.
Sound familiar????
Oh, The planet is doomed now!!!!!

Fox news Carlson falsely claims winter kills more people than hot weather in trying to downplay threat of global warming. Worldwide, heat waves kill more people than either floods, hurricanes, tornados, blizzards or extreme cold according to National weather service. Far more people have the ability to heat their environment when it's cold than to cool their environment when it's hot. Center for disease control says heat deaths are under counted because they are often counted as stroke or heart attack. Problem is expected to worsen in future years as climate change increase risk of extreme weather.

People in Switzerland who violate the country’s new heating rules which forbid setting the temperature above 19°C (66.2F) in the colder months will face up to three years in prison.
Under the new rules, buildings that use gas heating systems are restricted to 19°C, while hot water can only be heated up to 60°C and radiant heaters are banned entirely.
Despite the brazenly authoritarian restrictions, Economy Minister Guy Parmelin asserted, “We are not a police state,” although he acknowledged police would perform “spot checks” to try to catch violators.
French economist Charles Gave said many more people aren’t buying the narrative that Vladimir Putin is solely to blame for the crisis.
“For the last 15 years, our European leaders have gone into a climate craze, promoting magic mirrors and windmills as the solution. It does not work. These solutions demand the same capacity in gas power plants,” Gave said.
As we highlighted yesterday, predicting that cost of living protests in the Czech Republic and Germany will spread around the continent, a prominent economist warned that European citizens are “mad with anger and it will worsen.”
Just dropped a dead ash tree. Filling the woodshed to capacity and will be burning 24/7 this winter. Burning wood is carbon neutral, Germany said so!

Heat deaths are beguilingly click-worthy, and studies show that heat kills about 2,500 people every year in the United States and Canada. However, rising temperatures also reduce cold waves and cold deaths. Cold restricts blood flow to keep our core warm, increasing blood pressure and killing through strokes, heart attacks and respiratory diseases.
Those deaths are rarely reported, because they don’t fit the current climate narrative. Of course, if they were just a curiosity, the indifference might be justified, but they are anything but. Each year, more than 100,000 people die from cold in the United States, and 13,000 in Canada — more than 40 cold deaths for every heat death.
The same pattern holds, including in countries not typically associated with frigid winters. In India, cold deaths outnumber heat deaths 7 to 1. Globally, 1.7 million people die of cold
each year, dwarfing heat deaths (300,000).
For now, rising temperatures likely are saving lives.

Bjorn Lomborg latest book is “False Alarm: How Climate-Change Panic Costs Us Trillions, Hurts the Poor and Fails to Fix the Planet.”
According to wikipedia, Lomborg is a controversial economist and non-scientist who offers non-expert opinions on climate change. His articles in Wall street journal are rated low in scientific credibility by Climate feedback the worldwide network of scientists who assess climate change media coverage. Scientists have accused him of cherry picking data to misrepresent their research about climate policies. After investigating complaints, Danish committee of scientific dishonesty concludes Lomborg misinterprets results beyond the conclusions of authors he cited.

Yep, according to quacks like him, pumping billions of tonnes of carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere annually from human activity is just fine and won't cause anything bad.
Reassure the greedy, self-centered people, make money.
Heard this many times...
