UK public health agency warns against social media misinformation misrepresenting or misinterpreting data.  Better metric is to compare rates.  In many countries, unvaccinated people are far more likely to be infected, hospitalized or die from covid than the fully vaccinated.  World health organization and Center for disease control confirm being vaccinated provides greater protection.

I would disagree with the word dangerous but yes Omicron likes the vaccinated it seems. To regurgitate data and studies from previous strains that have no relationship to what is happening NOW is spreading misinformation, IMO.

You can also see on that chart the Adults Unvaccinated have always led the way with more cases than the Adults Vaccinated. UNTIL OMICRON. 

A sudden, dramatic change has obviously taken place. 

You will never hear about this change from our CDC, they will deflect this obvious trend as best they can. Using data going back to the original China Virus Strain.

I am pretty sure Iceland is no "outlier" as far as the data goes. They just flat out post what they see, a very comprehensive set of data.

Think for a moment, the above data, and of all the indoor venues giving anyone with a vaccination card a free pass indoors. And you wonder why cases are surging. 

But I am optimistic that Omicron is the beginning of the end! Omicron does not infect the lungs as well as previous strains, estimates are they are about 10% as effective in lung damage. Omicron infection boosts antibodies for the more dangerous previous variants like Delta. Omicron is highly transmissible and in South Africa is fadding quickly.

All this has me believing Omicron may create herd immunity without the death rate.
