Multiple polls, including one from CNN, show Biden has some of the worst approval ratings of any POTUS ever. His overall incompetence & loss of control of border security are cited as the top issues. He will surely go down as one of, if not the, worst prezs. ever after his term is concluded.

Lincoln was unpopular during his term but historians now consider him one of the best presidents. Presidential historians in Siena college survey already rank Biden 19th best and Trump 43rd best out of 45 presidents. Rankings are based on 20 categories such as intelligence, accomplishments, relations with congress, handling of economy, avoiding mistakes, integrity, leadership, appointments, overall ability, etc.

So here is a guy facing 90+ felony charges and he LEADS Biden by 51-42?? Is that really "EDGING OUT" as ABC claims? How can that be when Biden is one of the top pres.? It can't be.

I do not care about popularity when I rank them.
I rank Trump far higher than they do. Biden hasn’t even made my list yet.

Some come for the opportunity , and others for the gain , of whatever corrupt country that they’re coming from it’s not befuddling but it’s disgusting that evil preys …..
and that some are extremists not looking for peace , or something to eat , but a way to kill you in your sleep it’s a diseased way …..
that makes me pray …..
because they’re infiltrating deep into the secrets that we keep and that we’ve made ….
that are unseeable to even our own people but is that just another conspiracy that’s heaped on a steaming plate ?
filled with the feces festering between us in this hypocritical police state ?
I’m not sure .

@MrWhatsItToYa I unfortunately don't have an answer to what anybody should do to solve this problem(and neither do any of you,nor do any politicians, but you guys sure pretend like you have the answers).Like I said in post #92,I think it's basically an un-fixable problem to a certain extent. If you got people willing to WALK about 2,000 miles carrying everything they own,you think a fuckin wall is gonna make them just turn around and go back?I'd be willing to bet the answers no. You do not have an answer. But you do seem to realize that it is a problem. That is good. Because a lot on the Left will not even admit that. It for sure is NOT an 'unfixable problem'. It has been 'fixed' before to various degrees. The folks in the USA just have not reached a point where they have the desire or willpower to fix it. It is the same with any problem in the country. Take debt as an example. The country kicks it down the rod to the next generation. Same with the illegals problem. But this is something people do in their own lives. They throw their hands up in the air and refuse to get out of debt or handle other pressing issues and just hope they go away or that they can deal with them later. The whole time the debt or problem is getting worse. If the people really and truly wanted to fix this, they could do it. They could do it without a wall, even. They just do not have the fortitude.
And this is basically the crux of the matter.. there is no willpower on the left to solve the border problem.
As I've said earlier, perhaps it was even this thread, building a wall AND using overhead drones to help patrol the most vulnerable parts of the border would greatly reduce those crossing ..
A border alone would help slow the crossings, but introducing a little technology w a border wall would greatly eliminate the problem IMHO.

Rankings should be based on one key component. Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago ??
Biden is a dumpster fire if people are asked to answer that question today... In a little more than 2.5 years, he has succeeded in making people feel more miserable w high prices, and war breaking out in multiple regions. He is the epitome of FAILURE.

Better policies alone would slow it. Better enforcement would slow it. If these folks knew they were not allowed to stay, would be prosecuted, etc. -- many would not come. Of course, a wall would help. Because the more deterrents you have in place the better -- whether physical or policy-wise.
I would argue many on the Right have not reached the point of enough concern to force the politicians to do anything either. Sure, the Left is aiding them; but the Right has their head down.
But just the perception of a President that MAY do something helps. Just look at the numbers when Trump was elected, etc. Then look when Biden was elected, etc.

Well- stated, RAIDERS.
To your point, Trump did a Fantastic job of cutting down the numbers of crossings. As an example, those " caravans" from Latin America that were traveling through Mexico slowed to a trickle once Trump got tough w Mexico's president. I think you referenced this, too..

Why I keep getting involved in this muck I have no idea, but I cant stand the generalizations you guys throw out, it is offensive to my intelligence and is derisive and completely false.
Why is it that the GOP doobs here always try to make things POTUS vs POTUS or LIB vs GOP and never about the realities, the economics and social issues, its always that one party is awesome and does things better than the other and the bad party has a senile leader and corrupt members. How stupid is this tripe? How can anything ever get done when the public are carp sucking off the bottom of the sewer led by the media who has a narrative which is inaccurate and then you have the idiots who will defend their big candidate to the death and make everything about how great their guy is and how with that guy in office that things are so much better? Its so stupid I cant help myself.
The reason you guys never mention is the different dynamic in social and economic conditions in the world, that people are seeking a better life, a country that has a social net and opportunity that has a safer place for them and their families and all the good things they think they do not have and that the US citizen does?
The fringe entry people are the ones who are going to be smarter than the silly drone idea or a wall here and there, those are the kind that are 10 steps ahead of any wall or a drone and will take measures to accomplish their goals because they are financially motivated to do so. Thus we spend all the trillions on a huge wall and trillions to monitor and execute the efficiency of that wall and yet the worse offenders still get in and or still can accomplish what they need. Yet if you read the nonsense in this thread and so many others you think that all the people coming are going to kill you and take your tax dollars doing nothing, that is what the MEDIA and the fat McDonalds Grimace wants you to think so you will elect that lazy dope who wont change a thing, wall or not.
There is solid correlation between economic conditions and the will and desire for people to come here, the economic situation has worsened in the world over the last 4-5 years and that has to do with Covid and with interest rates, none of that has to do with Trump or Biden, but hey lets play stupid game and make everything left vs right, that will change everything.

It is amazing how countries respond when you threaten their pocketbooks. This is just an example of how threatening to use these funds to make them ‘pay’ for the wall would work as well. This is just one example of how Trump influenced Mexico to stop the caravans:
A caravan of Central American migrants traveling through Mexico was stopped after its push to the U.S. border set off a barrage of criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump.
The caravan of more than 1,000 migrants was winding its way through the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in southern Oaxaca state April 2 when the Mexican government announced it would move to break up the mass movement of people through the country.
"Under no circumstances does the government of Mexico promote irregular migration," the statement said.
The most recent caravan, organized by the migrant advocacy group Pueblos Sin Fronteras, became controversial after conservative media warned of an "invasion" and Trump targeted the mass movement of Central Americans. In series of tweets, he tersely told Mexico to stop the caravan.
"The big Caravan of People from Honduras, now coming across Mexico and heading to our 'Weak Laws' Border, had better be stopped. ... Cash cow NAFTA is in play, as is foreign aid to Honduras and the countries that allow this to happen. Congress MUST ACT NOW!" Trump tweeted.

This excerpt shows the extent of the disparity in concern on this issue between the two parties:
It is disheartening to learn of the gargantuan perceptual gap between Republicans and Democrats regarding the Southern border. A Gallup poll taken between June 1st and June 22nd of this year highlights the disparities. Sixty-five percent of Republicans regard the U.S. border situation with Mexico to be a crisis, and another 26% see it as a major problem. Thus, 91% of Republicans are concerned about the border situation.
Shielded for Life
Democrats, shielded by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the rest of the mainstream media, have a different view. Only 17% regard the situation as a crisis, down from 37% in 2019 when, wouldn’t you know it, Donald Trump was president. Among Democrats, 39% do regard the situation as a major problem.
So, a whopping 43% of Democrats either regard the border situation as a minor problem or not a problem at all: The Leftist media has perfected the art of gaslighting.

What I find interesting is that nowhere did you dispute the fact that Trump had a handle on the border,..... And Biden ?
Hmmm. Not so much !

How stupid is this tripe? Its so stupid I cant help myself. The reason you guys never mention is the different dynamic in social and economic conditions in the world, that people are seeking a better life, a country that has a social net and opportunity that has a safer place for them and their families and all the good things they think they do not have and that the US citizen does? your wisenhiemer diatribes designed to undermine what you detest , but the silent and the deaf , that you don’t necessarily define as your “ friends “ , but nevertheless fall on “ your side “ of the fence , never receive even a ninth of your flex …..
my mind hurts inside my spine twists and bends , trying to surmise why you’ve either lied to my eyes with what you’ve inscribed that I’ve read , or on the reason why you’re living a lie deep inside your own head …..
you’re slowly dying while my bones grow wildly dense , plus my skin is thick , and there’s no style that can wiggle from my grip , so pretty please , with sugar on top next to the cherry , before we’re both buried , be carefree , and you don’t have to stare at me , or even make eye contact , but at least please speak freely on why you need to slyly chop back ….
in such long winded fashion , to these political stanktits , but you leave the other regime to gleefully breathe easy and unpanicked ?
It’s fuckin’ savage , these ham sandwiches and carrot salads , gettin’ passed around with nary a passing word from your parti pris chariot ….
hardy har her hee carnage to the halibut , and the tuna , plus the swordfish , and then the motherfuckin’ cod ….
you’re fishing for the warrior within with a porcelain rod …..
were you born pure with the instinct to torment and prod ? with the force of a Norsemen ? and are you a mortal or a god ? these are questions don’t be sensitive here’s one more what’s the prob ? with mortaring your own fortress and destroying it with a bomb ? rigormortis to the corpses that were subordinates with the drop , because this world isn’t a choice but your voice is , is it calm ?
good luck climbing that wall .
BACK PATTING and KISSING threads are like passing HAM SANDWICHES around over and over-wall

Princeton's university book "Streets of gold" debunks myths of US immigration. For example, myth is that more immigrants than ever are crossing US border. Politicians warn of immigration crisis but the truth is that immigrants today comprise similar share (14%) of US population as a century ago. Myth is that past immigrants got rich quickly and rapidly became American but immigrants today lag behind. Actually, immigrants today move up the economic ladder at similar pace as a century ago. Myth is that American public doesn't support immigration. Despite political demonization of immigrants, polls show public support.
