Panthers indicating they would game plan out the Newton runs and that seems to be happening. 6 attempts in the 1st game and 5 in the 2nd for a total of 34 yds. Newton is a subpar passer. If he's not a dual threat, he's not much of a threat. Olsen the security blanket is out. Carolina D has looked great w/ Kuechly back; however, they haven't faced a good offense. In a match up of best defense vs. best offense, I'll take the defense and the TD, please. The ATS demise of everybody's darling Cowboys is inevitable. Baltimore has a good chance to win the game outright as well IMHO Texans +6 Derek Carr has sure lit up some garbage secondaries but take a look at his numbers against a good pass defense, such as the Chiefs or Broncos. They are very poor. The Texans boast the (FO) 7th best pass defense in the league. By yards alone, they are #3. The Texans rushing attack and pass D should see them through here. Oakland has been a great dog but is this the team you want to be laying 6 points with? They've got a Swiss cheese defense and a QB who is not necessarily up for a real challenge. Jaguars -1: kind of a Raiders doubter. Jags defense is quietly legit, rated 11th in (weighted) efficiency by Football Outsiders. This is also a fade the world thing. Chiefs -6: feels like a blowout. Saints are #28 in team D (FO) and they are a dome team. Don't think their offense in Arrowhead venue will be as effective as it has been zis season. Football Outsiders ranks the two teams at 22 (Rams) and 17 (Giants). Action is normal, line is appropriate, game seems awfully difficult to handicap at least from a line reading perspective.
