While I don't think the Seahawks are that good, I also don't think they're that bad.  You mention that the Seahawks had short fields against the 49ers but they also gave away at least two scores against Denver with two Hasselback INTs inside the Denver 10 last week.  He doesn't turn the ball over and the game is a lot closer. 

And how do you know it won't be a monsoon in Seattle on Sunday and it's going to be as loud if not louder than KC.  Seattle is better than KC and Jacksonville.

SD is the better team but getting 5.5 points at home for the Hawks is quite a bit in an early season matchup against the early struggles of SD in the past.

I'm taking Hawks on this because this looks extremely similar to the opening week game against KC.  Same crowd noise, could be similar weather, and home dog against frustrated Rivers and company.

I just bought this on Blu-Ray yesterday and it's something to behold.  I've seen the movie I think twice (once in the IMAX theater and once at home now) and I can't imagine a more perfect movie put together.  As great as Heath Ledger is, I think Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent is also very good.  Great writing, great direction, a few plot problems but other than that, one of the top movies in 2008!

Um, they aren't that different.  This team returned like 19 of 22 starters last year and Pryor hasn't shown me anything yet except that he's got some potential and could be good later on in his career.

The problem with OSU is they beat up on lesser opponents all the time but then gets demolished and embarrassed by more talented teams.  They played Penn State close but I see this game being a lot like the USC game.  Texas just has a quicker, more physical defense and a pretty damn good offense to boot.

This is the dumbest remark/reason for USC's offense being supposedly bad.  I'm going to argue (AGAIN!!!) the futility of USC's offense but your reasoning is stupid Dogear.

They are not bad but simply inconsistant.  Or if you want, we can talk about how Penn State put up 20 against Big-10 powerhouse Purdue!  Or 13 against OSU after USC put 35 up on em.  It's a moot point because both teams struggled this year in a couple wins.

I could also talk about how Penn State's stats are skewed because they played Coastal Carolina, Syracuse and Temple. 

Everyone talks about their bad offensive games and never about their good ones.  How bout putting 52 up on Virginia IN Virginia?  44 on Oregon? 35 on OSU and their top 10 defense?  Or what about Penn State not even playing 2 of the top 6 teams in the Big-10 this year (Northwestern and Minnesota)? 

Once again, Penn State is a great program with a good offense and solid defense.  But don't take anything away from USC.  They have just as many playmakers on offense as Penn State.  AND THEIR OFFENSE IS NOT BAD BUT SIMPLY INCONSISTANT!

You're totally right!  USC 14th in nation in points scored (37.5 PPG) and 14th in total offense (452.8 YPG). 

They are statistically similar to Penn State in almost every facet of this game.  I'm still on USC but when I read ridiculous claims like this, I need to put people in their place.

USC's offense is NOT bad but simply inconsistant.  All it has to do is come to play for one more game and Carroll and his coaching staff is maybe the best at gameplanning and execution when you give them time to scheme.

Yeah, I've seen it.  What makes that movie so amazing is how his progresses throughout the film.  He starts the movie healthy and then as the movie progresses, slowly loses a ton of weight.  Amazing story also and he does a great job in it.  In the Machinist, he's skinny the whole movie.  But I did like that Rescue Dawn movie.  A very unnerving, incredible survival story.

Saban is a helluva coach and has done an amazing thing is turning around the Bama program as quickly as he has...but they aren't the most balanced team in the nation.

Florida is by far the most balanced team in the nation.  In fact, I would even argue that Penn State, USC, and Texas are more balanced than Alabama.

But Bama is still an amazing squad, specifically their defense.  Their offense doesn't do anything for me and they've struggled just like USC has this year (20-6 vs. Tulane, 17-14 vs. Kentucky, 27-21 vs. LSU in OT) but nonetheless, they are a top 5 team right now but unfortunately, they won't be the most balanced in this SEC championship game.
