How do the Lakers do after losing a game by more than 5 points? Here's another reminder...
in NBA Betting come for the winners, stay for the comedy |

I’ve been riding, MrB’s coattails since 2007 from my college dorm room where I was pumping $50 deposits into 5dimes as he taught me the beauty of riding the “ugly dog” or the “disrespected favorite.” If you’re new-ish (or been at it for some time) to this line of hobby, soak up this man’s wisdom. Dude is the real deal. |

It's not technically a must win for them, but they probably feel like it is. They will never be fresher than they'll be tonight. Extra rest paid off for them in Game 1 in each of the first two rounds, and no doubt the Lakers feel it's imperative that they get this series started out in the same way. I expect the Nuggets to win because they win every game at Ball Arena that they want (really want) to win, but I won't be at all surprised to see the Lakers stay within 6.5 here.
This was a preposterously accurate read. Best in the game, this man. |

As a 49er backer, these posts are becoming increasingly infuriating to read. Why the Panthers, you ask? Well, there are plenty of reasons:
-Were resting on their couches last week while the 49ers were fighting for their playoff lives on the frozen tundra -Panthers are at home where they've been positively dominant this season, going 6-1 ATS. -They've already beaten the 49ers this season, in San Francisco, no less -Panthers' defense just as good, if not better -Cam Newton is better than Kap -49ers travelling through three time zones to play in a 9a Pacific time game Are these enough reasons for "why the Panthers?"

Seeing a lot of love for pointing out that there's a lot of love out there for the 49ers. You know what that means, don't you?

Actually, it's really hard. Carolina is, like, really, really, really, REALLY good. And they're at home. And, when you look at the 49ers recent playoff history, they don't exactly steamroll teams on the road. Cashing on the 49ers will be anything but easy today. All that said, I'm still on the 49ers.

You look at how positively dominant Cincy has been at home this year--8-0 ATS with a 17+ point average margin of victory--coupled with how piss poor the Chargers' defense really is, and it's either Cincy or no play. While all these figures are nice and good, as a Cincy backer, what gets my blood flowing south of the border is their prior years' playoff futility. They've kept almost their entire core together over the years and have the look of a team primed to get to the other side. Like an NBA franchise trying to get over the hump--doesn't happen the first time around. On the flip side, the Chargers, a team led by a rookie head coach that has surmounted great odds to win their last four while the teams ahead or near them produced a perfect combination of losses, have the look and feel of a team that's just happy to be in the playoffs. Bengals' hunger is off the charts. Bengals roll.

Wahoo,
Aren't you just a little worried about the biggest mismatch in this game-Sean Payton/Drew Breeds against the league's worst pass def? Moreover, aren't you just a little concerned about backing a qb making his first playoff start in a game he knows he's going to have to put up points in? |
