ABSOLUTELY NO chance JB goes man or match-up zone The adjustments will come in the form of leaving guys alone (no bump ups in zone) if JB feels that the guy cant make the shot. If CZ catches it in the High Post, I bet they lay off him and make him make the FT jumper. SU has been very active in their zone LATELY, moving on the pass and not the catch. This energy MUST be present. Also, SU will extend that zone on shooters - which obviously will open up the high post. IU can shoot 3's but SU needs them to be "contested" threes. It is ironic that IU is a team that thrives on transition hoops. That is exactly how SU has had success in the past. Not so much this year, mainly because SU needs their guards to hit the defensive glass. In years past, SU guards have not had to bump down to rebound, thus they have been in a better position to start the break. Without MCW and BT rebounding, SU would be in major trouble. SU needs to create turnovers and run. Hope it's a fun game. Good Luck to all! |

Let me preface this by saying that I know jack about the nba and especially nba fantasy. I was put in a small $ league that auto-drafted for me. Of course I got stuck with two of my least favorite players in the NBA. (Kobe and R.Westbrook) SHould I trade Kobe for D. Howard? Please give me feedback on whom I should trade Westbrook for (even if I lose a little in the trade, I am looking for upside - value) any help is greatly appreciated |

also forgot to add, these 3-point shots, if missed, create SU's best offense (their transition and fast break early offense). And I know Billy D has played SU many times but he MUST stress to move the ball against the zone, be extremely patient (low scoring affair if he wants to win) and NEVER throw the ball into the short corner or they will be trapped automaticaly. Fla's turnovers and patience is the key to the game

i know that I posted this in another thread, but I wanted to start my own. Sorry if this breaks rules, standards, etc. piss off if you don't like it.
this is not to say that the cuse will win or cover but........ people are talking about the zone and FLA's ability to shoot the rock and depend on the 3-point shot. Well Im a student (graduate) of this zone. I study it every game and dvr the game to watch for defensive posessions. SU has a zone that ENCOURAGES the 3-point shot. SU's goal is to make those shots CONTESTED. If FLA settles for that shot then it is perfect for SU as long as it is contested. Furthermore, if FLA jumps out and hits that 3-point shot (contested) on a consistent basis in the 1st half it also doesnt concern me. This is why: It is fool's gold. Sometimes I hope for a team that is leading SU at half to be shooting the lights out from deep. They often rely on that shot in the 2nd half and statistically speaking it will rarely fall at the same rate. Also, in terms of personel, if SU is not contesting this shot, their team is much deeper than in years past. We don't keep a guy in there (GMAC, Devendorf, etc.) that doesn't contest the 3. We have plenty of length on the bench that can do this. LAstly, the zone will only extend if the shooters on the other team are capable of making the shot. Their early season schedule has not been filled with teams that possess this type of shooter. Therefore, SU has focused on denying the HP(dead zone) and still contested the 3. |

understood but my book is not offering Shields by sub (not yet at least) I am getting a world class fighter that finally gets his BIG shot. I don't believe that he should be favored, but I do like 3.5 times my money if he can win. That Gracie camp is hot right now. GSP IS THE MAN. He should win. However, I am betting against this occuring. Good Luck fight fans. ] |
