A lot of game left, but that opening drive from the Chargers was impressive. The Broncos defense looked a little flat on that series.

Not much time for a write up, but DEN -3 is my play tonight.
SD has been playing well even at 1-4. Injuries and the toughest defense they have seen thus far will catch up to them. Denver 4-1 on short rest, yes, has something to prove after dropping that game to Atlanta last week. I think the defending champs (the better team) laying only a field goal is the play. This game is significant in the divisional standings, as I also expect Oakland 4-1 to beat KC on Sunday. DEN & OAK will be battling for that top spot in the division all season. Don't want to lose any ground tonight. |

I'm on DEN -3. Can I suggest shopping around a bit and getting SD +3.5. That hook could be huge for you.

I am on the opposite side of every pick. That's why we play the games. Good luck though.

SD has yet to see a defense like DEN this season. I believe SD has been over performing given their injury problems, but that has got to catch up to them. Grab that hook if you decide to take SD +3.5, but my money is on DEN -3. It is tough to take a beaten 1-4 team over the 4-1 defending champions - only laying a field goal. This game also has significant meaning in the AFC West, as I believe the 4-1 Raiders will take care of business at home against the 2-2 Chiefs. DEN & OAK will be battling for the top of that division all season.

I am with you on DEN, JAX and PIT. Bought a full point on GB? I like Dallas +4 in that one. I have to ride HOTlanta +6 and give the edge to Oakland PK at home. Good luck.

I agree with just about everything you said. My only apprehension is the Seattle -6 cover. Coming off the bye, getting a little healthier, and all the Atlanta travel sounds good for the Seahawks. It's just tough to go against the HOTlanta Falcons right now. I could see a letdown game too. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Atlanta remained on their roll and won outright.
Overall, I like your card. Good luck.

This line does have me scratching my head. At -3, I am leaning towards Denver. San Diego has been in all their games (with bad luck), but the injuries are adding up. They have yet to see a defense like the Broncos.

I agree with the Steelers. Maybe even the Over. On the other side of KC. I like Oakland's offense too much at home in this divisional game. Good luck!

My opinion... I like what Dallas has put together. Elliot & Prescott are stars in the making. The Cowboys offensive line is one of the best, and their defense, although not great, is improved from previous seasons. Green Bay still doesn't look in sync. Rodgers could always pull some magic, but Dallas should keep this one close. I will take those 4 points.

I feel the same way betting for or against Chicago. I can never figure them out. I have to think long and hard before pulling the trigger. The Bears are like my Kryptonite.

I like Denver as well. I don't see how SD and those injuries can keep it within 3 points.

I agree with you on Atlanta and Indianapolis. Those dogs look really good to me. I agree that Pittsburgh's defense is not that great, but the Steelers offense should more than make up for it. Miami is a mess. New England might by laying too much. I am avoiding that one. KC coming off a bye week scares me a little, but I think Oakland, much like Pittsburgh, has a high powered offense that should win this divisional game at home. I think Dallas will give Green Bay a fight. I will give the Cowboys and that offensive line the edge. Just my two cents. Good luck this week.

Key injuries will be the thing to watch for Tennessee. The status for TE Delanie Walker and WR Kendall Wright are questionable, which could put the Raiders in good position this week. Oakland has the offensive weapons, but can their defense be trusted. Thus far, not much. See if that changes. Oakland -1 Jacksonville (0-2) is in a must win situation very early in the season. Defensive troubles are again at the center of this matchup. Nothing like some home cooking to remedy the situation. Baltimore gets their first loss, Jacksonville their first win. Jacksonville +1

First week of the season is tough to lay on serious chalk. Is -6 too much? I dunno. Fail Mary Revenge or Super Bowl Hangover? My early lean is that the Packers keep it close and cover +6. Something like a 28-24 score. I believe both teams can score on each other so the over looks good in my opinion (o/u 46.5). Don't bet the farm on this one. There are better opportunities on Sunday. Good luck this season.

During championship week, I thought to myself the winner of the NFC title game would be the super bowl champ. I just thought it would be San Francisco instead of Seattle. I do think that Seattle's defense can cause some problems for the potent Denver offense. I am concerned about Peyton Manning, his lack of mobility and the cold weather. I am sticking with my original thought and going with Seattle. I would love to see Manning go out on top but Beast Mode and Defense might be too much for Denver. Omaha....Omaha!

Well, the tide has turned. So has my opinion of the series. I can't see the Cardinals taking both games back in Boston. I think the play here is the Red Sox in game 6. Double up if they happen to go to game 7. I would be shocked if the Red Birds found a way.

A must win for the Cardinals tonight. I think Wainwright will be much better than in game 1. Lester should be sharp as well. Got to stay with my initial thought process of this going back to Boston with the Cardinals up 3-2. Taking the home team and a better performance from Wain-O. The series can go either way. Could Wacha win another in Fenway?
