King said the text of the conference report is done and will be brought to the House floor tonight for a vote. House and Senate Republican leaders were trying earlier today to attach last-minute measures to the bill. The only one that survived was from Senate Majority Leader Frist that would crack down on Internet gambling, King said.
A last second victory for Frist will ban online gambling for good. This will put the banks in charge of stopping payments to sportsbooks, and theoretically places like Neteller as well.

what about getting a bank account in Canada or Mexico, as a US citizen, and setting it up to where you fund that foreign bank account, that is what your offshore is funded off of, and when you cash out that foreign bank sends you the $$$?

3. any check, draft or similar instrument and is drawn or payable through ANY financial institution
4. the proceeds of any other form of financial transaction the secretary and board of governors of the federal reserve system may jointly prescribe ( a catch all for anything new that sprouts up)
ANY PERSON WHO VIOLATES THIS SHALL BE FINED UNDER TITLE 18, IMPRISONED FOR NOT MORE THAN 5 YEARS OR BOTH
my take is that it really is going after the books and going to make it near impossible to fund any of them. they are NOT going to go after the average joe for gambling, BUT there probably won't be many places to gamble. good news for sin city and your local books.
