IS THE NFL RIGGED? ***THINK ABOUT IT***

Question

I came across a thread elsewhere that I wanted to post for everyone, asking "IS THE NFL RIGGED"?

I do not know what I have to do to get you guys to stop being close minded and turning a blind eye to this, but I have always been good at predicting the playoffs, probably because I know how the NFL thinks when they rig these games, if I get these games right up to the super bowl which I know I will than you guys must agree with me, even though I know some of you will still make excuse to why this is impossible.

Chiefs at Colts- the chiefs just happen to get in when it looked impossible because they didn't get in last year the NFL put them in the playoffs this year, we all know the colts run d stinks, so that is why they put the up against the chiefs and a top 3 rb in Larry Johnson. LJ runs over them, put Manning and the offense goes off. Colts 34 Chiefs 24

Cowboys at Seahawks- the hawks got there time in the spotlight last year, now it is it time for america's team to get there first playoff win in a while. It will be close ( why wouldn't it be by the way, it's the playoffs and the NFL loves excitement), but the cowboys pull it out on romo's arm and a couple of barber td's. Cowboys 27 Seahawks 20

Jets at Patriots- O MAN, the team I have loved all my life before I realized the NFL's scam just happen to face there division rival, o and don't forget the bellichek mangini rivalry, that is sure to bring ratings, it is sad that if i never knew the truth I would be ridiculously excited for this game, and for the .5 chance that the nfl is real i will still root for my team. i m sure you guys will say that I am just picking the jets because they were my team, but my reasoning is, the patriots had there time, and now the Jets led by mangini will have his to, in a close game, because we all it will be since diviosnal games are always close. Giants at Eagles- Wow what a coincidence another huge divison rivalry, the ratings are off the roof for this one to, o by the way that was classic, tiki in a must win game mayb his last ever just happens to have his career high in rushing yards and gets more rushing td's 3 than he had all season, I hate the giants I hate them a lot, as many jets fans do, but the nfl lets tiki's magical run continue and shocks the hottest team in the nfc right now, after the giants collapse who would of thought? Giants 24 Eagles 20

hey i agree with you i believe in all your picks except the jets actually beating new england(american boy tom brady makes for more money than opee looking chad penington even though i think he is a better qb)i said at the begining of the season that that NO would be good and that either they or the giants would make the superbowl and the afc would be colts or san diego setting up a possible brother vs brother or last year qb vs last year understudy o r even traded #1 draft pick vs traded #4. its nice to see someone coming up with this conspiracy nfl bullshit other than myself

Interesting read, but I doubt the NFL caused New Orleans to have the #1 offense in the NFL. Nor do I think they "gave" the Chiefs a playoff berth. If that were the case the friggin Cardinals would win the divsion once in a while. Incidentally, I think all four of those picks lose. Just my opinion. Different take though, good post.

I just think it&#x27;s very well scripted...and the zebras are&#xD;&#xA;the directors of the game. One reason the Saints did so well is the new coach and the fact that he got rid of 33 "deadheads".  I do not agree that the NFL is fixed, the football just bounces funny sometimes.  However, I can see where one could draw that conclusion.

Thank you for posting.  Interesting topic.  It wouldn&#x27;t surprise me, if the NFL was fixed for certain games--if just on the individual player leve..  I think of the patriotic hysteria that gripped the nation and lo and behold the patriots start winning with a then nobody QB and questionable officiating.  It may have been unconscious on the part of the officials, but it doesn&#x27;t take too many bogus calls and non-calls to change the winner of the games.  So if the officials were subconsciously ruled by powerful symbols like the flag or the word patriots during a period of mass hysteria and flag waving, then is that really a fix?  Another thing is that I see so much corruption and conspiracy in every day life that I think why would the NFL be immune?  Anyway, good luck making .

Not every game, but in the 1980&#x27;s mob bosses used to keep wide receivers coked up in exchange for some dropped passes. In the 1960&#x27;s, (and prior) the players weren&#x27;t paid shit, and all knew the spreads. It was in a book I was reading online, although it could be all bullshit. I&#x27;m not saying all games are fixed, but some are still pretty questionable. Nothing really proven though.. GL with fixes !!!

For one, I agree with BetCrimes, even if he was being facetious, about Seattle and Pittsburgh.

Also take into consideration that right after 9/11 happened and the GOD BLESS AMUUUURICA thing was in full motion that the Patriots won the Super Bowl versus a team they had absolutely no business beating.

Isreali professional soccer was just busted for fixing games so why not the NFL.  I could accept if a bad call happened once in a while but it&#x27;s game after game after game and those bad calls dictate who wins.  &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Vegas didn&#x27;t build those buildings with monopoly money.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;And Pete Rose didn&#x27;t bet on baseball and Wayne&#x27;s wife didn&#x27;t bet on hockey and last years Colts/Steelers game had no controversy and last years Superbowl was decided on the field and not by the officials and the Blacksox scandal never happened and so on.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Fixed games have been apart of our history and continue to be.

Gents,first of all,anyone who wagers on a sport they think is fixed is either foolish or a degenerate. For over 20 years I have not bet harness racing because of predetermined arrangements,some of what I was privy to!! It was the info I knew nothing about that bothered me. Even with privileged info we many times lost.      The best example I can pass along is the Boston College basketball scandal of 1978. Sports Illustrated did an in depth article regarding this matter. Gamblers had all 5 starters and the top reserve wired. 13 games were fixed and the gamblers went 8 and 5. With all that going for them they still blew 5 to the spread!!  If they spent their time legit handicapping,they may have equaled that 61% without the ensuing legal headaches.&#xD;&#xA;Also,look at the Arizona State BB scandal in 1995. It was quickly exposed by a combo of : greedy people; rat stool pidgeons; idiot gamblers; NCAA enforcement; FBI; and mainly Vegas sportsbooks that witnessed unnatural money and began to ask why.    The bottom line is: don&#x27;t blame gambling misfortune on supposed fixed games,but accept the variancies of this business. That&#x27;s one of sports&#x27; great attractions!!      Instead,concentrate on improving your own analytical skills and realize there is no such thing as a lock.&#xD;&#xA;  Some of you young&#x27;uns may think I&#x27;m full of shit, but I speak from over 30 years of experience. NIce conversation gents!!!I am one who never thought of NFL of being fixed.I am doing quite well this year in the NFL and did not chose to post the topic because I am out of cash, but ran across this and thought it made sense.I can recall a few plays this year where I didnt agree with the call and the result didnt favor my wager.Either or, I will keep a close eye on the above as I hope you do as well and love to bumb this next week when the results are in... and see how this fairs GL Gents, whatever you decide!
