The Philadelphia Phillies offense has gone a bit cold recently, with just six runs in their last two games. They should have a chance to break out of that tonight, as the San Francisco Giants won’t have any of their usual starters on the mound.
Philadelphia's star-studded lineup has relied on some unsung heroes in recent weeks. One of those guys is shortstop Edmundo Sosa, who is only getting regular playing time due to Trea Turner’s injury.
Sosa usually bats in the bottom of the order but that hasn’t stopped him from putting up some great numbers. Sosa is batting .339 since May 3, with 10 of those hits going for extra bases. He’s scored 16 runs in those 19 games (18 starts) with 11 RBI as well.
