Aaron Judge is hitting .403 on the road this season, so it shouldn’t come as a big surprise that he’s made himself comfortable at Sutter Health Park in this series against the A’s, with a double in Friday’s win and a pair of homers yesterday. He’s looked like the league’s best hitter with a 1.258 OPS through 39 games, and I see his bat making more noise in today’s showdown against Luis Severino, who spent eight seasons in the Yankees clubhouse. While that doesn’t equal in-game experience against the veteran righty, Judge should have a handle on Severino’s pitches and what he likes to throw in different counts, and this is a nice price for the New York slugger to drive in at least one run here.

Bichette is in the midst of a four-game hitting streak with six hits, five walks, and an OPS of 1.149. He’s hit this Mariners staff well too, recording a pair of hits in each game this series with three additional walks. The process has been there all season long for Bichette, but it hasn't yet yielded the results the underlying metrics suggest he should have. Bichette owns a .311 expected batting average, which ranks in the 93rd percentile among all MLB batters. His hot bat should continue into this afternoon’s ballgame as Seattle sends right-hander Bryce Miller to the mound. The Jays slugger is hitting .300 against right-handed pitching this season with an OPS of .738.

There’s a huge pitching advantage for the Philadelphia Phillies tonight, with Zack Wheeler dialing it in across his past four starts. The veteran righty has allowed exactly two runs in each with a tidy 2.70 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 1.89 xFIP. Wheeler has also been piling up the strikeouts with 38 across 26 2/3 frames while holding opposing hitters to a miniscule .194 batting average and issuing just three free passes. The Cleveland Guardians have Luis Ortiz toeing the rubber, and he sports a career 4.27 ERA and 4.76 xFIP as a starter.
