The Cleveland Cavaliers roll into tonight’s NBA odds with 10 wins in their last 11 games and will look to keep that hot streak going when they welcome the Detroit Pistons to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cleveland Cavaliers to victory again Monday night, as he dropped 28 points while shooting 11-for-21 from the field and adding 12 dimes in a 118-108 win against the Clippers.
The shooting guard has been remarkably consistent this season, averaging 27.7 points per game while tossing up 21.1 field goal attempts per game — the highest mark of his career. With Darius Garland (jaw) sidelined since mid-December (and still listed as questionable for tonight’s game), Mitchell has been Cleveland’s primary shooting weapon, and we should see that trend continue against the Detroit Pistons tonight.
Mitchell has scored at least 28 points in back-to-back games and five of his last eight outings, highlighted by a 45-point performance against the Nets back on January 11, where he went off for 30 field goal attempts and went 11-for-13 from the charity stripe.
While there's no guarantee of another 40-point game vs the Pistons, Mitchell should be able to cash the Over on 28.5 against one of the NBA’s worst defenses. Detroit is giving up 122.1 ppg — the fourth-worst mark in the league this season — and 55.2 ppg in the paint, which ranks fifth-worst.
Mitchell makes his living slashing into the paint, so this looks like a good matchup for him to have another big night.

While Detroit has picked up its level of play with two wins in its last three games, Cleveland has been one of the best teams in the NBA this month, suffering just one loss since January 3. The Cavaliers have won by at least 12 points in seven of their last 10 victories and should have no problem doing so against the lowly Pistons.
The Under looks like a slam dunk too as the Cavs own one of the league’s top defenses, allowing only 109.8 ppg. Meanwhile, the Pistons are one of the NBA’s weakest offensive teams, averaging just 112.4 ppg.

Pistons vs Cavaliers spread and Over/Under analysis
The Cavaliers opened as heavy 13-point favorites at home with the total set at 230 points. I’m taking the Cavs to cover the spread and cash the Under tonight.
As touched on above, Cleveland has had no problem winning big and covering the spread during its current hot streak. The Cavs are 9-2 against the spread through their last 11 games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven at home.
Cleveland’s defense should make the difference here as the Cavaliers have tightened up even more this month, allowing just 103.8 ppg — second to only the Knicks.
Low-scoring basketball has also been the name of the game for Cleveland, as the Cavs have cashed the Under in seven of their last nine outings. The Pistons have performed similarly, with the Under coming out on top in four of their last five games.
Cleveland has held opponents to 108 points or less in seven of its last eight contests and 100 points or less in five of those games, so the Cavs shouldn’t have much trouble containing Detroit tonight.
