My analysis
Kevin Durant is having a solid campaign for the Phoenix Suns, averaging 27.4 points on 41.9% shooting from 3-point land. He’s been the only star in their Big 3 who has stayed relatively healthy. As you can see, his total is set at just 24.5 tonight in Charlotte.
Well, Durant has hit the Over in points in five of his last six games. In fact, Monday’s win over the 76ers was the first time since December 23 that the veteran stayed Under 24.5 points, but it wasn’t by much. He still dropped 23 to help Phoenix grab a much-needed win.
The Charlotte Hornets are 18th in defensive rating and have allowed an average of 24.2 points to power forwards in 2024-25. Even though KD averaged just 17 points per night in two appearances against them last season, he’s on a roll.
For what it’s worth, the superstar tends to play well in back-to-backs. This season, he’s averaging 30.3 points in three games with no rest. KD will head into Buzz City and torch the struggling Hornets.

Devin Booker is still a cold-blooded scorer with 24.1 PPG, but he’s also a very talented passer. The Kentucky product is averaging 6.7 assists this season — the third-highest total in his NBA career.
Book has cashed the Over in assists in three straight appearances, compiling 10, 9, and 9 dimes, respectively. He's hit Over 6.5 in six of his last eight games and has emerged as Phoenix’s best playmaker.
The Hornets allow the 15th-most assists per game. Booker also picked them apart last season, averaging nine dimes in two matchups. He’ll facilitate at a high level at the Spectrum Center.
Phoenix has dominated the Hornets since 2021, winning seven consecutive meetings. They’ve managed to cover in all but two of those games. Yes, the Suns are just 12-22-0 against the spread, but it’s hard to ignore their success against Charlotte.
It's important to note that six of the seven wins came by more than 4.5 points.
