My analysis
The Vancouver Canucks have been one of the top offensive teams in the NHL all season, currently sitting in seventh with 3.42 goals per game, but that hasn't been the case lately. That's one of the big reasons the Canucks have dropped four games in their last seven, churning out only 2.57 goals in that span.
Their 4-3 win over Vegas last time out was the first time they’ve scored four or more goals in a game since a 4-2 win over Calgary on March 23. Vancouver is set to host an Arizona Coyotes squad long gone from the playoff picture, and coming off a 5-0 drubbing Tuesday night in Seattle.
Vancouver will seek a 3-game series sweep, with a pair of 2-1 wins in the previous matchups. That low-scoring trend has taken over this series of late, with the Under cashing in four of the last five head-to-heads.
With the Canucks in a little offensive funk, they can still lean on a defense that allows just 2.71 goals per game (sixth). Look for that trend to continue tonight.
