The Carolina Hurricanes have been one of the best teams in the league this season and look to make it seven wins in a row when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at the Lenovo Center.

Martin Necas has led the way for Carolina with 18 points through 10 games thus far, and my Flyers vs Hurricanes predictions expect him to record another assist tonight

Read all about it in my NHL picks for Tuesday, November 5.

Flyers vs Hurricanes prediction

My best bet
Martin Necas Over 0.5 assists (+110 at bet365)

My analysis
Martin Necas has shown some flashes over the years, and it looks like he might be finally putting it all together this season. He has six goals and 12 assists for 18 points in 10 games, with 15 of those points (10 assists) coming on his current six-game point streak.

Necas may only play on the second line for the Carolina Hurricanes, but he gets time on the top power-play unit as well. That’s where he’s picked up eight of his 10 points, so he’s been dangerous at both 5-on-5 and the man advantage.

The Philadelphia Flyers have not fared well defensively this season and are without starting goalie Sam Ersson for at least a few games. The Canes have scored 27 goals during their six-game winning streak, while the Flyers have already allowed at least four goals in seven of their 12 games.

We’re getting plus odds for Necas to do something he’s done in six straight games and eight of 10 contests this season. The Canes are big favorites and Necas should find the scoresheet tonight.

Flyers vs Hurricanes same-game parlay (SGP)

Martin Necas 1+ assist

Shayne Gostisbehere 1+ point

Andrei Svechnikov 1+ point

Shayne Gostisbehere broke in with the Flyers and always seems to play well against his former team. He has nine points in 10 games this season and quarterbacks Carolina’s top power-play unit.

Andrei Svechnikov is right behind Necas with 11 points in 10 games. He’s also riding a five-game point streak and has recorded a point in eight of 10 contests this season.
