This is a tipping town? WHO THE HELL CARES? A TIP IS EARNED, NOT A RIGHT. AND FROM THE WAY YOU "SERVICE" PEOPLE HAVE ACTED, I WOULDN'T TIP MOST OF YOU.
PS, I HAVE FOUND THROUGH EXPERIENCE THAT SOME WHO WORK FOR TIPS ARE SOME OF THE TIGHTEST PEOPLE ON EARTH. YES, THEY HAVE THEIR HANDS OUT, BUT WHEN IT'S THEIR TURN TO TIP, THEY REVERT TO TIGHTWADS.

"SHE TRIED TO EMBARRASS YOU?, YOU LEFT A 45 CENT TIP ASSHOLE!" Again If I were there you would need about 10 Grand in Dental work.

Wow, there are a lot of angry people in this thread.
I agree with you pro mark tipping has gotten rediculous these days. As far as what you did of course it was wrong, but let's not forget that the bitch was completely wrong. So she didn't get a dollar she gets all pissed off and talks shit to someone who she thinks won't reciprocate. He could have taken it farther with management involved. It's kind of hard to feel sorry for her since her uneducated ass is making almost 100k a year. I don't drink around the strip anymore unless buddies are in town, but the local casinos have amuch better attitude. I play let it ride a lot and sometimes thats their tip I offer them if it wins they get half of the win.
So let me ask all you great tippers here a question. So you went to the club because your wifey wants a 10$ drink and it takes you about 20 minutes to get that drink what would you do?

Actually once you get a certain age you take the a%% whopping and just buy a bottle. Outrageously expensive but worth it to me as wifey and I rarely go out. Same with the my boys cause if everyone throws in as much as we'd each spend individually it'll typically work out the same way. Nonetheless, I hear what you're saying about service people expecting a tip no matter what.

It is complete bullshit to say people give less for tips because of the economy. If you can afford to sit your ass down and gamble, then you can afford to tip. If you are down to your last dollars and order a drink, cash out and tip appropriately.

My friend is a waitress in vegas. She told me once this asshole tipped her 45 cents. To make it worse she said it was 20 because she didnt want to count it after throwing it in her money belt. This asshole followed her through the casino with his free beer to yell at her for not being appreciative of the 45 cent tip. She apologized because she was afraid the guy was some loony toon and wasn't worth the risk of sharing her true feelings.

Tell you what, Ill be at the MGM Grand January 4th thru January 7 Come on by and ask for Big Bill, Im usually in the skybox, I will have you sit there with me and other bettors and Ill tip for you, the drinks and food are free up there. Maybe you will see how those of us who take care of our servers get treated, and maybe you will make some money as well.
Bill, I've stayed at the MGM a few times and wondered about the Skybox area in the Sportsbook. What size bets need to be played for them to open that area up to you?

Usually 10K per bet or more on one game or multiple 1K bets Or you can be really cool to the manager Greg and take care of his ticket writers and after getting freindly, just ask him if you can watch from up there, Thats what I did, I usually bet 700 to 800 max per bet 300 on the low end, so I really dont belong up there, but you will be surprised how treating people like people and with respect will get you in that town.

Well, I'm proud that I didn't call anybody in this forum a "Piece of this or a piece of that". And I'm proud that I didn't threaten anybody with violence.
It seems that those defending the service industry aren't acting like they deserve a tip at all.
On the other hand, I have acted in a respectful manner.

Ha-ha harry, it's my thread, you are the one that keeps posting. But I keep hitting them out of the park because of your weak pitching. Try another angle, groupie . . .

I have nothing against you. In fact I admire your determination and grit. Grinding out a penny slot existance is tough I know.
Sometimes, the stress can be too much and you took it out on a waitress. It happens. We've all done worse at some point.
It is just good to see that you acted with dignity and didnt let your current situation dictate your actions on this board. You clearly learned from your mistake with the waitress and should be commended.
Heres to you hitting a 5-liner today!!
