I've always thought that an umpire standing behind the pitcher has a better view of the plate. I think once upon a time they actually used to stand behind the pitcher too.

Greenberg, after the Heat won game ONE, said that the series was OVER that Miami will win the series now...after game ONE!
And Jason Whtlock during the series wrote a column saying that the Heat were just "toying" with Dallas, that they can put them away anytime they want to..blah, blah, blah..how dumb! Whitlock: Finals entertaining, but Mavs are doneWhitlock, GreenbergYou would think that grown men having been around sports for so long, would hold back judgement after only one of two games...all experienced sports gamblers know it's not over until it's OVER!!! |

without hesitation, dove into a pool to save a 6yr.old boy from drowning.
Does that mean that if Pope wasn't there, this little boy would have drowned? And why have a pool if nobody knows how to swim? And why was this little boy allowed to swim unsupervised? https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Chiefs-TE-Pope-saves-six-year-old-boy-from-drown?urn=nfl-wp2597 |

Let me know when you've completed your homework assignment and have returned with the statistics. I'm not saying that the Heat will not win the series, because I believe that they will, but it's NOT because of so called "home-court advantage". In this series both teams have lost a game on their home-court. So, what advantage to they really have here? Jus sayin... |

Brian Sabean, did you not see what Pete Rose did in the 1970 all star game to Ray Fosse?
in General Discussion Johnny Bench puts Buster Posey at fault https://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=6625504 Hall of Famer Johnny Bench says Buster Posey's season-ending injury was the result of a mistake on the Giants catcher's part. Bench, who knows all too well the physical toll of playing catcher in the major leagues, says preventing collisions at the plate is a major key to the success of any catcher.
