created a topic Lay The Favorite in Movies & Television Saw this On Demand last night. I've been waiting for the "Rounders" of sports gambling (a lot to ask for), and I was hoping this was it. Not quite. It does get a lot right... great cast: Bruce Willis, Vince Vaughn, Pacey, the cute girl from The Town, Catherine Zeta-Jones. Just like in "Bookies", they totally fuck up the end of the movie in what is supposed to be the big moment. OK, so the guy wants New Jersey, but there's no talk of any point spread or if he wants them money line. How hard is it to get that part right??? Did I mention the girl from The Town is hot?
