Tomlin knew he had 2 shit QBs but he isnt going to say that during the season. They just couldnt go back to Fields once the move to Russ happened.
There are no franchise QBs that Pitt can get this year. Maybe they luck out and draft a QB in the later rounds that turns out to be badass, but otherwise they will have to go the free agency route and there arent many good ones out there |

I think careless "when pressured". When he has time, he's pretty spot on. But in the NFL, there arent many great OLines so he cant rely on having that. He's a project. Some upside for sure but he wont be great. Probably Mac Jones-ish |

Ewers has already made money in college. Millions probably but if you have an agent + taxes then the exact number is hard to quantify. He does commercials here so he's definitely making some bank in his first 3 years in college. If he goes thru the transfer portal, he wont see the success he did at Texas. He wont have that defense, the O-Line or the WRs. The coaching staff. He has stuff to work on but he wont have the success he had at Texas and that would be a step down. Plus there's always the big injury concern.
Ewers' goal is the NFL and that's where he'll be headed. Depending on the combine he'll be a late day 2 or early day 3 pick. NFL teams are always needing a QB, even as a backup. Some teams will take a chance on him as a project and see if he can learn more as a backup. He has height, strength and a decent arm. His decision making is iffy and QB coaches can work with that. He's not very mobile and maybe that's something he can work on. He'll make plenty that way in the NFL and wont have to schlep at Michigan State or SMU (I'm just throwing out random names, not actual or rumored landing spots). |

your mistake is comparing the population of the US with the NFL. perhaps if you compared coaches to the NFL population at large it would help you understand. they wouldnt even *consider* hiring them. same goes for assistant coaches. so then yes, there is a disproportionate number. and now when a qualified non-white male coach is hired, people use racist terms like "DEI hire" because it hurts their minds to see non-white men rise up the ranks to major positions. white men have been given every advantage for decades in every aspect of society, and when that turns even the slightest bit, some cry and moan because of it. it's just soft behavior. it was the same for NFL QBs for many many years too. we still see threads like "white coach/qb vs black coach/qb...i'll take the whites" here at covers (just yesterday wrt Chargers/Texans). just a lot of small minded people out there unfortunately. will probably never change

well until people stop using racist phrases like "DEI hire" for non-white people, then it'll be important to show why those same non-white people are actually qualified to do the job. Case in point, Marcus Freeman |

snow might be ok? ice is not. Texans cannot drive in that kind of weather. It'll be a disaster. But it should warm up Friday afternoon (good!) but then a hard freeze Friday night (bad! because all that thawed snow is gonna turn to ice)
Will be interesting for sure. I dont think they want to postpone the game to early Saturday but putting thousands of lives at risk isnt that great either. I dunno. Maybe Dallas has a genius plan up their sleeve. Texas, in general, shuts down when the weather gets this bad |

Ewers is good, not great. Makes some great throws. Makes some horrible throws. Seems to be pretty clutch, unlike the Texas kicker who sucks ass this year. He has the yips really badly.
Sark is just pot committed with Ewers. He got them to the playoffs last year. Got them there this year. I think bringing in Arch for anything more than a gadget play could do some damage to Ewers' confidence and that's even worse right now. Arch is probably the better QB, but right now experience probably matters more than anything and Quinn has tons of that, Arch doesnt. Arch knows it's his team next year (and the year after if he wants to stick around for his Junior year) so he's playing the long game. I hope Texas can bring in some more great WRs/TEs for him like Ewers' has had the past two seasons |

NFL teams have shown over many years that when they dominate to this extent on both sides of the ball for two games in a row, they have little left for their next opponent. Div or non-div, doesn’t matter. Not going to argue but here is the original system we learned decades ago, which was called the Taxi system since that was his handle: team off scoring B-B 30+pts team off allowing B-B 10pts or less vs non-div opp not the playoffs he had games included before '89, which is as far back as the database goes. currently 3-23 ats with the last one being Bills at Ravens in week 4
that looks correct. |

this x 10000. the biggest issue here is that dumb people here think they can drive on ice because they have a truck/suv...and then realize far too late that it doesnt work like that. tons of accidents. i havent looked at the forecast recently. looked like Friday noon time things warm up enough to make it OK for people driving but that may be tough for everyone.
