The Toronto Blue Jays will go for the three-game sweep of the Washington Nationals when they take the field Wednesday afternoon at the Rogers Centre.
However, that will be easier said than done as the Nats hand the ball to MacKenzie Gore, who looked dominant in his first start of the season. Still, if there’s anyone who can do some damage against Gore, it might be the man who has found the fountain of youth: George Springer.
My Blue Jays predictions and MLB picks highlight a Springer player prop and bring you an enticing same-game parlay for the finale of this interleague series.

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Pep in Springer's step
George Springer Over 1 total bases (+110 at BetVictor)
The Toronto Blue Jays have used some solid starting pitching to help them get out to a 4-2 start this season, but they’ll likely have to rely on the bats a little more if they hope to sweep away the Washington Nationals on Wednesday afternoon.
That’s because the Nats hand the ball to up-and-coming ace MacKenzie Gore. The 26-year-old was dominant in his season debut against the Phillies, striking out 13 batters while allowing just one hit over six shutout innings pitched, but if I know anything about early-season baseball betting, it’s that we ride hot streaks into the ground. And no one on this Blue Jays roster is hotter than George Springer.
I’ll admit, I thought that at 35 years old, Springer was washed, but he sure doesn’t look it at the moment, and while it might not last, let’s ride this train before it comes off the tracks.
Springer enters this game hitting .444 with a 1.079 OPS through Toronto's first six games this season, and the four-time All-Star is locked in. Springer has multiple hits in the last four games he's started, which includes two doubles, and he's driven in at least one run in three straight games.
With Springer also having the platoon edge against the left-handed Gore, let’s take him to go Over his total bases for his fifth straight start, which we can get at enticing plus money.
Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)
George Springer Over 1.5 total bases
Andrés Giménez Over 1.5 total bases
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 RBI
Today’s same-game parlay is brought to you by the Blue Jays' bats. The only Jays player arguably hotter than Springer is second baseman Andrés Giménez, who's hitting .333 with a 1.399 OPS through his five games this season, which includes recording a knock in all five and a team-leading three home runs.
Meanwhile, we're still waiting for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to bust out in 2025. Vladdy is one of the few Jays players with past success against Gore, going 3-for-5 with a home run. That's good for a .510 expected batting average and a 1.078 expected slugging.
Let’s take Giménez Over 1.5 total bases and Guerrero Over 0.5 RBI to round out this SGP.
