After splitting the first two games of their opening series, the New York Mets and Houston Astros settle things Saturday in the rubber match of their set.
Houston struck first with a 3-1 win on Opening Day, with the Mets replying by the exact same score Friday night.

My Mets vs Astros best bet: Houston Astros ML (-120 at FanDuel)
The New York Mets will trot out righty Griffin Canning on Saturday. The 28-year-old has spent his entire 5-year career with the Angels, last year compiling a 6-13 record with a rough 5.19 ERA.
New York is hoping a change of scenery (and conference) can help him, but this interleague matchup has him squaring off against a team that knows him well.
The Houston Astros collectively are hitting .307 against him with a .921 OPS.
In three starts against Houston last season, Canning went 0-1, giving up 18 hits in 15 2/3 innings, surrendering nine earned runs, walking eight and striking out seven. His ERA was 5.17.
Houston counters with righty Spencer Arrighetti, who will be starting his second season in the bigs.
Last year, the 25-year-old went 7-13 with a 4.53 ERA, though he did rank Top 30 in strikeouts with 171 across his 145 innings.
Saturday will be Arrighetti's first career start against the Mets.
He's only faced two Mets in his career, and only Juan Soto has connected. Soto went 2-for-3 against him with a home run and three RBI while a member of the Yankees.
New York's win on Friday broke a three-game losing slide to the Astros, and it was just its third win in the last 11 head-to-heads with Houston.
The matchup dictates that the offense should pick up, as New York has put up 11 hits over the two games and Houston 10, with both sides plating four runs each.
With the Astros' familiarity and success against Canning, they should be better equipped to take a series win on Saturday.
Mets vs Astros same-game parlay (SGP)
Canning's strikeout total is set to a lowly 3.5 for Saturday, but he hasn't been able to punch out many Astros.
Last year, he went under the total all three times, hitting a high of three strikeouts in his final start against Houston on September 22.
The last time he struck out four or more Astros was six starts ago, fanning four in September of 2020.
It's been a rough go at the plate so far for Houston's Yordan Alvarez, who's yet to record a hit through two games.
Facing Canning should be a help: he's recorded the most hits of any Houston player vs the Mets' starter, batting .538 in 13 at-bats, with two home runs and three RBI.
I like Alvarez breaking out in the rubber match.
