With New York just one win away from reaching the World Series, we're backing Aaron Judge to stay hot at the plate when the Bronx Bombers take on Cleveland in game 5 tonight.

The New York Yankees will look to punch their ticket to the World Series when they meet the Cleveland Guardians in a pivotal game in the ALCS, and we’ve picked out some MLB player props for tonight's Game 5.

We’ll talk about two red-hot Yankees hitters who should continue trending up against Tanner Bibee, before also discussing Carlos Rodon’s outlook when he takes the mound at Progressive Field.

Make sure to also check out our Yankees vs. Guardians predictions for Saturday, October 19.

Yankees vs Guardians props

Prop bet #1: Aaron Judge Over 1.5 total bases

+125 at BetMGM

It’s been hard not to take note of the three-game hitting streak Aaron Judge has put together in this series (which has included two home runs), and it’s even harder to look past the excellent matchup he faces against Cleveland Guardians right-hander Tanner Bibee.

Although Judge failed to record a hit against Tanner Bibee in their only previous meeting — despite flying out with an exit velocity of over 103 mph — he has a strong chance of success against the young fly-ball pitcher. Judge hit .309 and slugged .715 against fly-ball arms this season, racking up a team-leading 178 total bases in that split.

Including the postseason, the New York Yankees slugger has also produced a .359 xBA against four-seam fastballs from right-handers and a .307 xBA against cut fastballs. Considering those two pitches make up almost two-thirds of Bibee’s deliveries, Judge should be lined up for another impressive performance tonight.

Prop bet #2: Gleyber Torres Over 0.5 runs

+115 at BetMGM

Gleyber Torres has hit .283 with a .350 on-base percentage out of the leadoff spot this season, so it should come as no surprise that the Yanks infielder is sporting a .400 on-base percentage in the postseason.

With the way this offense is humming, he’s now scored eight runs in eight games, going just two games without scoring. Torres has also received five plate appearances in every game against Cleveland, so I love the plus-money value for him to cross home plate yet again.

Prop bet #3: Carlos Rodon Over 15.5 outs recorded

-117 at Caesars

The theme of these last two games for the Yankees has been a shaky bullpen. After a rocky season, this stable was bound to crack at some point, but things have become dire with three relievers working back-to-back nights and the likes of Clay Holmes and Tommy Kahnle likely unavailable for Game 5.

Yes, the Yankees could go to Marcus Stroman for a few innings in relief, but they’d greatly prefer to get some length out of Carlos Rodon. With a long leash and an excellent matchup, the left-hander should stick around for a while in this game.

Rodon’s strikeout and whiff rates this postseason now stand at over 41% after he punched out nine Guardians in Game 1. Dating back to the start of September, the southpaw now owns a .236 xBA with a stunning 32.9% strikeout rate.

With his form, the favorable park, and the state of this Yankees bullpen, this line is far too short.
