Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves welcome the Brooklyn Nets to town tonight for the second-to-last game of the regular season.

Edwards has been red-hot lately, and I’ll dive into why I expect that trend to continue here in my Nets vs. Timberwolves predictions.

Find out more in my NBA picks for Friday, April 11.

Nets vs Timberwolves prediction

My best bet: Anthony Edwards Over 26.5 points (-115 at bet365)

My analysis
Anthony Edwards is having another marvelous season for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are set to compete in the Play-In Tournament. The guard is averaging 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists while shooting 39% from three-point land.

Ant has had several lengthy stretches where he cannot be stopped, and he’s in the midst of one right now. The former first overall pick has cashed the Over in points in four of his last five, even erupting for 44 points on Thursday against the Memphis Grizzlies.

In fact, he’s scored 30+ in three games during this span. For April, Edwards is averaging 31 ppg in four appearances. The Brooklyn Nets are already out of contention, and they are essentially without their entire starting lineup. The likes of D’Angelo Russell, Cameron Johnson, and Day’Ron Sharpe, among others, are sidelined this evening.

On top of that, Ant already plays well against the Nets, having scored 28 versus them earlier in the campaign. Even if they were healthy, I’d still lock in this bet. Edwards is a cold-blooded scorer, and he should put on another show. He’s also averaging 29.6 points on back-to-backs.

Nets vs Timberwolves same-game parlay

Anthony Edwards Over 26.5 points

Rudy Gobert Over 11.5 points

Julius Randle Over 4.5 assists

While Gobert is averaging just 11.5 points this season, he’s really stepped it up lately. The big man has cashed the Over in points in eight of his last nine outings, putting up 13 points in the win over Memphis on Thursday.

Gobert is averaging 12.1 ppg at home compared to 11.1 on the road. In April, he’s averaging 16.4 points as well. Again, the Nets are severely depleted, and that should open up an opportunity for Gobert to also do his thing down low. He’ll make his presence felt.

Since there are no props available for Brooklyn, we’ll finish out our SGP with another Minnesota player – Julius Randle. He’s been a solid addition to the Timberwolves in 2024-25 alongside Edwards. We’ll focus on his playmaking here.

Randle is averaging 4.7 assists per night and he’s hit the Over in dimes in two straight games and five of his last seven contests as well. The forward is averaging 5.3 assists since the All-Star break, too. He will facilitate the rock at a high level tonight.
