Spurs vs Warriors Odds, Picks, and Predictions Tonight: Curry Cooks Soft Spurs D

The Warriors need a get-right spot badly, and the porous Spurs defense will yield plenty of opportunity for Steph Curry to heat up from long range — which is exactly what our NBA picks are backing him to do.

The Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs collide for an in-season tournament matchup tonight at Chase Center as both teams look to snap out of dreadful skids that have turned the NBA odds against them.

San Antonio enters play on a 10-game losing streak while Golden State has dropped seven of its last eight outings despite Steph Curry scoring 30-plus points in three of his last five appearances.

Can Curry finally lift the Warriors out of their slump against a weak Spurs defense? We’ll discuss in our Spurs vs. Warriors NBA picks and predictions for Friday, November 24.

Spurs vs Warriors odds

Spurs vs Warriors predictions

Stephen Curry missed two games last week with a knee injury but returned to the lineup in good form, dropping 25-plus points in his first two contests before slowing down with just 16 points against the Suns on Wednesday as he shot 1-for-8 from beyond the arc. The Warriors will need Curry to be on point tonight, though, as they try to dig themselves out of an eight-game slump where they’ve picked up just one win.

Curry has been deadly when healthy, averaging 29.4 points per game — sixth-best in the NBA — while converting on 43.7% of his attempts from 3-point range, slightly above his career average.

The Warriors star should be licking his chops ahead of tonight’s matchup, as the Spurs own one of the league’s weakest defenses, giving up 123.1 points per game. San Antonio has allowed at least 120 points in eight of its last 11 contests while opponents are shooting 39.2% from three-point range vs the Spurs — the NBA’s second-worst mark, ahead of only Memphis.

Curry is chucking up nearly 12 3-point attempts per game this season — the second-highest rate of his career, behind only 2020-21 where he averaged 12.7 attempts per contest. Assuming that trend holds steady and he continues to convert at his usual clip, Curry should cash the Over on 28.5 points without much issue.

My best bet: Stephen Curry Over 28.5 points (-120 at DraftKings)

Spurs vs Warriors same-game parlay

Stephen Curry Over 28.5 points

Stephen Curry Over 5.5 3-pointers

Warriors -10

We’ll lean heavy on Curry in tonight’s same-game parlay as we look for him to finish Over 28.5 points while making Over 5.5 threes en route to a Warriors win where they cover the 10-point spread.

Curry is averaging 5.2 3-pointers per season and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t exceed that mark against the Spurs, who allow a ton of points and a ton of threes. Curry has dropped at least five 3-pointers in 10 of 14 outings this season and six-plus in six of those games.

San Antonio has lost by at least 10 points in six of its 12 defeats this season, and while Golden State has struggled, it should have the clear upper hand tonight. The Warriors remain one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the NBA, ranking seventh with 14.1 makes per game, and that strength matches up well for them against the Spurs’ weaknesses.

Spurs vs Warriors spread and Over/Under analysis

Despite their own struggles, the Warriors enter this game as the big 10-point favorite on home court with the total opening at 234.5 points. I think the hosts should get the job done and with the Spurs taking the court, we should see plenty of scoring, so I also like the Over.

Golden State came hot out of the gates this season with five wins through its first six games but has slowed down offensively since then, averaging just 111.8 points over its last 10 contests — a number that would put them around Bottom 10 in the NBA. San Antonio has been even worse, though, scoring just 109.7 points per game — fifth-worst in the league.

Klay Thompson (15.0 ppg) and Andrew Wiggins (11.9 ppg) have struggled through the first month of the season but they should have a good opportunity to get their offensive juices flowing again vs the defensively inept Spurs. But even if they don’t have great nights, Golden State should still have enough firepower to edge out one of the league’s lowest-scoring offenses.

Although the Warriors have struggled offensively of late, the Spurs seem to bring the best out of their opponents and I suspect we’ll see that happen once again tonight. The Over has cashed in 11 of the Spurs’ 15 games this season, generally due to the fact that they give up so many points.

Golden State will likely need to score at least 120 points to cash the Over tonight — a mark it’s hit six times this season and twice in its last three games. Led by an in-form Curry, the Dubs should have one of their best offensive showings of the season in this one.
