The Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings will face off at Golden 1 Center tonight, with Steph Curry going head-to-head with De'Aaron Fox. Tipoff is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET, and the game will air on ESPN.

Although the Kings and Warriors might be heading in opposite directions of late, my Warriors vs. Kings predictions are rolling with the Dubs to cover on the road.

Warriors vs Kings prediction

My best bet
Warriors +7.5 (-110 at bet365)

My analysis

The Golden State Warriors are coming off an embarrassing performance against the Boston Celtics on national television on Monday, where they lost by 40 points. Not only are the Warriors falling further and further out of the Western Conference playoff picture, but they are also without key players such as Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga, who will both miss tonight's game against the Sacramento Kings due to injuries.

All that being said, a spread of 7.5 points shows too much respect for the Kings. Even without Green, Kuminga, and Brandin Podziemski, I only make the Kings a 5-point favorite at home on Wednesday against the Warriors. The narrative and perception of both teams of late are undoubtedly influencing the market on this one.

It's hard not to view the Kings as the superior team in this matchup, but if this game had been played just a couple of weeks ago, I can guarantee you nobody would have rushed to lay 7.5 points with the Kings against the Warriors.

The Dennis Schroder trade hasn't worked out as the Warriors had hoped, but a matchup against the Kings is one where it could pay dividends. Instead of Steph Curry working 10x harder against De'Aaron Fox to create for his teammates and score, the Warriors can rely on Schroder to facilitate for everyone on Wednesday. Schroder could take advantage of his matchup against Malik Monk, who is a below-average defender. Schroder's ability to create against Monk should take a ton of pressure off this Warriors offense.

I think the Warriors can also match up well defensively against the Kings, thanks to Gary Payton II returning to the lineup. Payton should be the primary defender on Fox, and while Green is an elite defender, Kevon Looney might actually pose more of a problem for Domantas Sabonis in this specific matchup.

The 7.5-point spread is too high for the Kings. It's rivalry week — nobody wants to get blown out by a rival, especially the Warriors by the Kings. As I mentioned earlier, I make the Warriors a 5-point underdog in this matchup, which means we can price the +7.5 at -145, but it's available at bet365 at -110.

Warriors vs Kings same-game parlay

Steph Curry 30+ points

Andrew Wiggins 20+ points

Warriors moneyline

If the Warriors are going to win, they'll need big-time performances from Curry and Andrew Wiggins. I'm using the alternate Over on both players because I believe it's their only path to victory against the Kings as a 7.5-point underdog.

With the injuries to Kuminga and Green, and based on the matchups, I think we'll see inflated minutes for Looney and Payton due to their defensive roles against the Kings. Both players have limited offensive games, which should result in more shots being directed toward Wiggins and Curry.

I don't see the Warriors securing a victory without a primetime performance from Curry and Wiggins. Unfortunately for Kings fans, they are all too familiar with Curry delivering a primetime performance at the Golden 1 Center.
