Week 8 ATS picks

Vikings vs Rams
Rams Rams +3

There's something to be said about the 'emotional letdown spot' and I believe the Vikings will feel the full effect here. They just dropped a division game in heartbreaking fashion, and now on a short week with travel, the energy level may be low. Throw in the fact that the Rams are getting Cooper Kupp back, and we have a perfect storm for an upset here.

Ravens vs Browns
Browns Browns +9

Everyone will be quick to back the Ravens high-flying offense in this one, but in a division game, with the Browns likely starting Jameis Winston, I'll take the points. Winston gives the Browns offense a shot in the arm, and at home, they'll get up for this game.

Colts vs Texans
Texans Texans -6

The Colts may be riding a two-game winning streak but beating the Titans and Dolphins doesn't count for much. I expect the Texans to be too much at home for the Colts offense to keep up with, so lay the points under a touchdown.

Packers vs Jaguars
Jaguars Jaguars +4.5

The Packers just beat the Texans and now get the Jaguars who are returning from London. Shouldn't this line be higher? I'll plug my nose and take the Jags catching points here.

Titans vs Lions
Lions Lions -11

Do you want to bet on the Titans? I know I don't.

Falcons vs Buccaneers
Falcons Falcons -2.5

The Buccaneers may be without Chris Godwin and Mike Evans for this contest and that's going to matter. The Falcons may be one of the most inconsistent teams in the NFL, but they should have enough offense here to get the win and cover.

Jets vs Patriots
Patriots Patriots +7

One team's head coach called the players soft, while one team's head coach can't quite figure out how to get the most out of a talented offensive group. I'll take the points here for no other reason than to see the Jets continue to suffer.

Cardinals vs Dolphins
Cardinals Cardinals +3

Whether or not Tua Tagovailoa returns to the lineup, I don't think the Dolphins will win this game. The Cardinals are a plucky team with a good running game and a decent enough quarterback. I'll take the Cards here.

Eagles vs Bengals
Bengals Bengals -2.5

Don't look now but the Cincinnati Bengals have won two straight and are just one game under .500. A win here at home vs. the Eagles will put the rest of the league on notice, and with a healthy roster, I say they pick up the win.

Saints vs Chargers
Saints Saints +7.5

I am picking the lesser of two evils here. The Saints may not be good, but the Cardinals are just as banged up, and we are getting the hook on a touchdown. I'll take it.

Bills vs Seahawks
Bills Bills -3

The Seahawks may have dropped 30+ on the Falcons last week, but the Bills will provide a much stiffer test and I believe the addition of Amari Cooper gives Buffalo too many weapons for the Seahawks to deal with.

Bears vs Commanders
Bears Bears -2.5

With Jayden Daniels likely out for this one, the edge foes to the visitors in this one. The Bears are playing some great football right now and will simply prove too much for the Commanders to handle.

Chiefs vs Raiders
Raiders Raiders +10

Coming off an impressive win against the 49ers, the Chiefs are now on the road again, this time inside the division. The Raiders always play the Chiefs tough, so I believe this is too many points in this spot.

Panthers vs Broncos
Broncos Broncos -9

Do you want to bet on the Carolina Panthers? I don't.

Cowboys vs 49ers
Cowboys Cowboys +4.5

The Niners are in injury hell right now and this just feels like one of those games where the Cowboys drop 35 and pretend they are back.

Giants vs Steelers
Steelers Steelers -6.5

No bet against the New York Giants is a bad bet and with the way the Steelers' offense is playing right now, the Giants won't be able to keep up.
