Best Divisional Round first TD picks
First TD prop bet #1: Travis Kelce
Best odds: +750 at BetMGM
With the Kansas City Chiefs fresh off a week of rest and set to host the undermanned Houston Texans at Arrowhead, the defending champs are bound to score first on Saturday.
Despite finding the endzone just three times all season, this is a prime matchup for Travis Kelce. The Texans allowed eight touchdowns to tight ends in the regular season, a number exceeded by only four teams. It’s also notable that the last time we saw Kelce in Week 17, he boasted double-digits in targets.
The Chiefs were gearing him up for heavy playoff use, and they’ll look to ride one of Mahomes’ favorite targets one more time.
First TD prop bet #2: Terry McLaurin
Best odds: +1400 at Caesars
The Detroit Lions are the biggest favorites of the Divisional Round with five names available at shorter odds than any Washington Commanders player, but Washington continues to confound critics — and it wouldn’t be a shock if this game was far closer than the odds suggest.
Terry McLaurin is playing the best football of his career, having already racked up 14 touchdowns this season. He’s routinely taking secondaries apart and comes into this matchup with eight TDs in his past seven contests, including scoring the decisive touchdown against the Bucs last weekend.
Scary Terry and the Commanders are being undervalued in the Motor City.
First TD prop bet #3: Kyren Williams
Best odds: +650 at DraftKings
The Philadelphia Eagles’ offense was arguably the biggest disappointment of the Wild Card Round, with Jalen Hurts looking mediocre at best. While the temptation is to back Saquon Barkley, it’s the Los Angeles Rams' running back who offers the best value.
Kyren Williams remains effective as ever, having reached paydirt 17 times, including scoring first in last week's Wild Card trouncing of the Vikings. Whether it's through a heavy workload in the ground game or by being used through the air, Williams has scored seven times in as many games, and he'll be the primary weapon inside the 20s.
