Seahawks vs Bears TNF Prop Bets: Caleb Continues to Look Keenan's Way

Despite this Bears season getting ugly fast, Keenan Allen has become a trusty target for Caleb Williams in recent weeks. Expect that to continue against the Seahawks on Thursday night.

It’s the lone NFL game going on this Boxing Day, as the Seattle Seahawks visit the Chicago Bears on TNF.

Seattle needs to win — and get some help later in Week 17 — if they hope to get into the playoffs. It’s not so dire for us: we’re checking the Seahawks vs. Bears prop picks and lining up our favorite NFL picks.

In what should be a pass-happy game, it’s no surprise the receivers are front and center for this one.

Seahawks vs Bears TNF props

Prop bet #1: Jaxon Smith-Njigba 80+ receiving yards

+130 at FanDuel

Another week, another standout showing for second-year stud Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He caught eight passes for 95 yards and a touchdown, although it came in a 27-24 loss to the Vikings, pushing the Seattle Seahawks to the brink.

JSN is doing his part, with at least six catches in seven of the last eight and piling up the yardage. With an alternate receiving line of 80+ yards at +130 juice, it’s hard to resist this prop.

He's topped 80 yards receiving in three straight games and five times in his last seven. His only Unders during that stretch? He went for 74 yards against the Jets and 77 against the Cardinals.

The 2020 first-round pick is closing in on both 100 catches and 1,200 yards receiving. It’s definitely in play against a so-so Chicago Bears defense that has nothing to play for and just got torn apart by the Lions last week.

Prop bet #2: DK Metcalf Under 4.5 receptions

-132 at FanDuel

While JSN is rising, DK Metcalf has slid from the main option to a very good second option. In 13 games, he’s caught 60 balls for 897 yards and four touchdowns.

I’m not sure why, but it looks like the books went favorably high on his reception total, set at 4.5 grabs.

Metcalf just hasn’t had that many big-catch games this season. In fact, he’s only had 5+e receptions in three of 13 games this season, and none since Nov 17, when he had seven catches for 70 yards in a win over the 49ers.

Last week against the Vikings, he hauled in three balls for 57 yards and a score, the fifth straight game he’s had four or fewer receptions. He’ll be prominent against Chicago, but Geno Smith’s second read after Smith-Njigba.

Prop bet #3: Keenan Allen anytime touchdown

+180 at FanDuel

It’s probably not the year he had in mind, but veteran Keenan Allen has shown he’s still got plenty to offer the Bears.

Last week, he had nine catches for 141 yards and a score against the Lions, his first 100-yard receiving game this season and easily his best offensive output of the year.

Allen has finally emerged as a go-to target for Caleb Williams, with six TD catches in the last five games after just two TD receptions in his first eight. Four of those recent touchdowns have been red zone strikes.

The Seahawks have allowed 24 passing TDs on the year, in a logjam for the fifth-most allowed in the NFL this season. Allen has good NFL odds to keep his hot streak going.
