Best NFL Interception Props for Super Bowl 59: Hurts Won't Harm Eagles With Turnovers

Jalen Hurts has been careful with the football all year. With Philly employing a run-first approach on offense, the volume won't be there to increase his chances of throwing an interception, as Rohit Ponnaiya's NFL betting picks explain.

Nothing can swing the Super Bowl more than a key turnover, and the Super Bowl odds have interceptions props available on Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Eagles pivot Jalen Hurts.

My NFL picks include a player prop on each signal caller as well as a long shot that might be worth a sprinkle for Super Bowl 59 on Sunday, February 9.

Best Super Bowl interception picks

Jalen Hurts Under 0.5 interceptions

The Kansas City Chiefs have the quarterback advantage at Super Bowl 59 but Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is no slouch and does an excellent job of taking care of the ball.

Although Hurts struggled with turnovers last season, he threw just six interceptions through 18 regular season and playoff games in 2022. He's been even better in that area this season and has thrown just one pick in his last 14 games.

The Chiefs defense finished the regular season 16th in the league in passes defended (71) and 15th in interceptions (13). They haven't picked off a pass in their last three games and there won't be many opportunities for them to get an interception against an Eagles offense that runs the ball at the highest rate in the NFL.

Jalen Hurts prop: Under 0.5 interceptions (-145 at Caesars)

Patrick Mahomes Over 0.5 interceptions

Patrick Mahomes hasn't thrown an interception in his last eight games. That said, he was intercepted in each of his first seven games of the season.

The superstar QB doesn't look his best against defenses that can generate pressure without blitzing while dropping multiple defenders into coverage. That describes this Vic Fangio defense to a T.

The Eagles were fourth in the league in passes defended (90) during the regular season and have picked off nine passes over their last six games.

Expect a pass-heavy approach from the Chiefs, who will likely rely on Mahomes instead of running backs Isiah Pachecho and Kareem Hunt, who haven't inspired much confidence.

While Mahomes has plenty of experience in the Big Game, he's thrown an interception in three of his four Super Bowl appearances.

Patrick Mahomes prop: Over 0.5 interceptions (+120 at Caesars)

Mahomes has three multi-interception games this season and he also threw a pair of picks in his first two Super Bowls. If you're looking for big money Super Bowl player props, this is one that could hit, especially if the Chiefs end up playing from behind.
