Jets vs Predators Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NHL Game

The Winnipeg Jets have won 11 in a row and Nashville won't be the team that stops them getting to 12.

The Winnipeg Jets will play the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena, looking to win their 12th straight game.

Six of Winnipeg’s past 10 wins have come by at least a two-goal margin, and I expect this trend to continue Thursday night, as detailed in my Jets vs. Predators predictions.

Read on for my NHL picks for February 27.

My Jets analysis
Almost everything is clicking for the Winnipeg Jets during this massive win streak. The team has no issues filling the net and currently holds onto the second-highest goals-per-game mark in the league.

However, during this win streak, the Jets’ greatest strength is their ability to suppress high-danger scoring chances. Over the past two months, Winnipeg ranks first in xGA/60.

This elite defensive play will make Eric Comrie’s job much easier, who is expected to start between the pipes as Connor Hellebuyck played last night in the Jets’ 4-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Comrie’s name hasn’t been called often this season, but he has thrived whenever it has. Through 14 starts, Comrie boasts a .910 SV% and 2.59 GAA.

Both numbers are better than Juuse Saros’, who is expected to start across the ice for the Nashville Predators. Winnipeg is also the superior team offensively and defensively, making it the team to back despite playing on the second half of a back-to-back.

Jets vs Predators odds analysis

Winnipeg opened as a -123 favorite and remains at that price at the time of writing. I expect this line to widen, due to the variables mentioned above.

Meanwhile, the total opened at six and also hasn’t moved. The juice is on the Under, and considering the Jets’ recent elite defensive play, I wouldn’t be surprised if the line drops to 5.5 before puck drop.
