A pair of Eastern Conference teams face elimination tonight, with the Ottawa Senators and New Jersey Devils down 3-1 and on the road for their respective Game 5s.
The two Western Conference contests are deadlocked 2-2, with the Vegas Golden Knights and Los Angeles Kings both looking to reclaim home-ice advantage in their series.
Here are my top NHL player props for the action on Tuesday, April 29.

Best NHL player prop bets for April 29
Auston Matthews anytime goalscorer (+120 at Sports Interaction)
Auston Matthews has 11 high-danger scoring chances and 2.81 expected goals through the first four games of Round 1, but he’s only found the back of the net once and sports an unsustainably low 6.7 shooting percentage.
During the regular season, Matthews generated 1.64 expected goals and scored 1.44 goals per 60 minutes, and he's posted respective 1.94 and 0.69 marks against the Sens through four games.
The quality scoring chances have been there, and I expect No. 34 to cash in on his pending statistical correction tonight.
Andrei Svechnikov Over 2.5 shots on goal (+140 at Sports Interaction)
Andrei Svechnikov was the best player on the ice in Game 4, and he’s been a force all series long with 13 shots on 29 attempts. He’s recorded four or more attempts in all four games and has climbed to the No. 1 line with Sebastian Aho and Jackson Blake.
The trio clicked for a 64.0 Corsi For percentage at 5-on-5 in Game 4, and Svechnikov is also a primary shooter on the No. 1 power-play unit. He leads all Carolina forwards with a 67.2 CF% and 70.03 expected goals percentage at 5-on-5 for the series, too.
William Karlsson Over 0.5 points (+120 at Sports Interaction)
William Karlsson joined Jack Eichel and Pavel Dorofeyev at 5-on-5 to close out Game 4, and the trio stuck during Monday’s practice. While it was a limited sample, they were on the ice for 12 shot attempts and just three against across 6:52, and Karlsson skating in the top-line gig is a huge boost for his scoring potential.
Karlsson also finished Game 4 with a postseason-high four shots and 22:25 of ice time, and he jumps the boards with the No. 2 power-play unit.
Still, this is all about skating with Eichel. The star center has collected just a single assist and hasn’t been on the ice for a 5-on-5 goal all series. Karlsson plays a responsible 200-foot game, and I expect him to help free up Eichel offensively.
