NHL Player Props and Best Bets Today: Connor and Vilardi Continue to Cook

Kyle Connor is the hottest player in the NHL right now, and his wingman, Gabe Vilardi, is eating well, too. Expect more offense from this pair tonight.

It’s a six-game slate today on the ice, with some Global Series afternoon action taking place in Finland.

The stacks keep on stacking as betting on linemates to point instead of just one skater has proved very profitable over the last two weeks. That isn't changing today, as I'm taking a pair of stacks plus my favorite plus-money prop in Finland.

These are my three favorite NHL picks for Friday, November 1.

Today’s NHL prop picks and best bets

Prop bet #1: Miro Heiskanen Over 0.5 assists

+120 at bet365

The NHL is in Finland for the Global Series this afternoon, and the Finns get a great game between the Stars and Panthers. The last series in Prague featured two teams that barely had any preseason action, and the play on the ice showed with some sloppy hockey. This series could be different.

Miro Heiskanen is a guy I’m targeting today, thanks to hefty minutes nearing 26 per game and a recent offensive run coming into this game. The Dallas D-man has three assists over his last two games and should get plenty of PP time with a power play that is 4-for-8 over its last two games.

There's always a chance the Finns playing in this game get a bump in minutes considering friends and family will be in attendance. Heiskanen started the season cold but is heating up, and a game in his homeland is a great spot to keep the offensive momentum running.

Prop bet #2: Kyle Connor + Gabe Vilardi Over 0.5 points

+126 at DraftKings

No player in hockey is hotter than Winnipeg’s Kyle Connor, who has recorded a point in each of his 10 games and has multi-point efforts in four straight. The Winnipeg Jets boast the No. 1 offense in hockey because of him at 4.6 goals per game, and I love scoring in tonight’s matchup vs. the Blue Jackets.

Columbus can put up points tonight, too, with Eric Comrie in net while also owning the No. 7 offense in hockey. If the BJs can keep the Winnipeg offense engaged, Connor is going to find the score sheet with no problem, and his winger, Gabe Vilardi, will be along for the ride as they play all their shifts together.

Mark Scheifele’s point total has hit 1.5, so he is harder to stack with Connor, who should have a 1.5-point total for tonight’s game. Even with a flat total of 6.0, this game could be a shootout. Stack away.

Prop bet #3: Josh Norris + Drake Batherson Over 0.5 points

+188 at DraftKings

The Ottawa Senators might be +160 on the moneyline tonight vs. the Rangers, but this team can score. The offense has 25 goals over its last five games and has scored at least four in all five of them despite going 3-2 SU.

Yes, the Rangers have Igor Shesterkin, but this is a New York team that relies on the goalie too much and still ranks 30th in expected goals allowed/60 at all strength.

The Norris/Batherson/Giroux line has been incredible this year for the Senators but only Josh Norris and Drake Batherson are stackable as they play together at 5-on-5 and on the first power-play unit. The pair have 20 points over 10 games and have hit this stack in four of the last five games, with Batherson collecting nine points alone over that stretch — seven at even strength.

Stackers are getting a great price because of the matchup, but don’t let that fool you: Ottawa can score tonight.
