Well it looks like a fairly unimpressive 3 - 4 to open the season....I think I am going to watch this thing for a couple of weeks and see if it is worth doing. Honestly too much effort for those kind of results. I am going to track it weeks 2 and 3, and if the results improve I will post something for week 4. Good luck to everyone this week.

Hello all. Back for another try. After a sizzling initial season in 2008, horrible performance last year. For those who follow, we shut it down in week 10 it was doing so poorly. So, I am going to give it a shot this year, at least for 3 - 4 weeks and see how it pans out. Right now I have input from 10 cappers. Line range on the selections is in the parens and number of cappers on the each side is reflected in the second numbers. Here is where we are: Consensus Picks (08/30/2010): Kansas St (+2:-3): 5-0 LSU (+1:-1.5): 4-0 Nebraska (-33:-35): 5-0 Oklahoma (-28:-31): 4-0 Texas (-27:-29): 4-0 |

BOL during bowl season Wahoo. Wanted to chime in on your heisman picks. If Gerhart and Keenum dont get invited to the party, in my opinion you can simply flush whatever and whomever is selected down the toilet. Both of these guys are so far ahead of Ingram and McCoy respectively it is not even funny. And if you are truly talking about the best player, it has to be Keenum. Without him Houston is 3 - 10 instead of 10-3. You can't say that about any of the other candidates. I know the Heisman is a bullshit award that means nothing, but at some point you have to start inviting guys that aren't on top 5 rated teams. Simply unfair. |

I love the Sacramento play but it seems to easy.....Sac coming off three straight double digit wins at home vs. team that got punked by 20 at Golden St....seems like this line should be bigger to me...fishy

I agree Natural and I think the injury situation for the New Orleans secondary is going to be an issue with a master like Brady. Should be a turkey shoot for him

A look at the injury report is a bit disturbing if you are backing New Orleans. Starter Tracey Porter is out. Another starter Jabari Greer is questionable. Backup Randall Gay questionable. These guys dont play and you have a rookie in Jenkins with I guess Reis at the other corner. Rookie Harper at listed as strong safety coming off foot injury (converted receiver???). Sharper is all-world but he cannot do it by himself. I must admit that I do not follow the Saints that closely so I may have left someone out or overlooked a player, but if the injury information is accurate this sounds like it could be a turkey shoot for Brady....

Robb, not sure where you are getting your data from but Toledo has not scored 30 since Oct. 3 against Ball St. Statistically, Toledo has done very well but it does not seem to translate to points on the scoreboard, at least not lately. If Opelt plays and he is healthy, they have a shot at this cover. But rest assured the Chips will be going after that shoulder hard - one hit and he could be done (Sam Bradford vs UT ring a bell?). I personally like the CM team total - Toledo defense is porous (107th) and LeFevour having two weeks to prepare should mean big numbers. Lets see if Toledo can keep up. Either way BOL... |

I can't believe there is even a discussion here. Case Keenum is the most deserving, hands down. Team is 8 -1 and ranked 15 (Clemson?). Stats are mind boggling. 5 interceptions in 458 attempts. 71% completions. 28 TDs. 3815 yards. And for those of you who will say "system quarterback that just dumps it off" he is getting almost 9 yards per completion. Discussion over.

Last week they let Southern Miss come from 14 points down with two minutes left at home!! Granted Houston has one of, if not the, best players in the country in Keenum. If you want a "lock", play the over. This game will come down to the last possession, mark my words.... |

Outstanding write up. I like the over and BG to cover and likely win outright.
