Last I looked, there have been WCs played in Japan/Korea, in South Africa, in the U.S., and believe it or not there are participants from all over the world. There are probably some bettors thinking that African and Middle Eastern players should have an edge on the European stars because of their familiarity with the terrain and the heat.

Hey Van, look forward to your analysis on Spain.  I find it surprising you don't think they get out of Group Play.  For a team that came within a whisker of playing in the Euro (2021) Final,  and with this year's team still largely intact,  suggesting they don't get out of Group Play  is shocking.      Do tell.  

vanzack - been on this site a long time, and I can say without a doubt you are the most influential and generous capper on this site.  you give folks a lot of picks, reasoning why, and then back it up with successful outcomes.  You also add in how you maximize profits by shopping lines, and even tell others to stay a way and  why staying away if you can't find the line that fits your betting strategy.

I have been checking your picks since I first tried my hand at this shit, and I am blown away at your success rates over time.  And since I have been watching WC, I typically tail most all your picks.  I bet small, and money I can afford to lsoe, but over the long haul, I never do lose mostly b/c of your advice.

Hope others recognize the value you bring.  I have learned a shit-ton from you, and I am very grateful.  Cheers and Good Luck this WC.

All those games that you've highlighted for Ecuador were friendlies where Alfaro wasn't playing his best team and was trying things with some fringe players.  I don't think using friendlies is ever a good indicator of a teams ability compared with say Ecuador's WC Qualifiers.  You make it seem like Ecuador are offensively hopeless and yet here they are coming through the toughest qualification process of all confederations. 

In terms of scoring during the WC qualifiers they were equal 2nd with Argentina.  Even Uruguay with all their goal threat were 5 goals behind.  

Further, if you've ever watched Qatar play you'll know their style is very offensive under Sanchez.  You must have missed their guest appearance at the Gold Cup last year?  They topped their group with 9 goals and then were unlucky to lose to the USA 1-0 in the next round, dominating and creating the better chances before the US broke through.  That 1-0 scoreline does not do them justice at all.  So I would also suggest not using squad value as a determinant of ability as you'll always have the big sides winning every game and yet we know they is never the case.

I personally think we see goals in this 1st game and I wouldn't be surprised at all by 3-2 scoreline either way.

Belgium lost to Egypt today could be on to something with that Not to Qualify play   hope not but I see one of the big teams going out early maybe even Brazil

I noticed that is you parlay all 3 of their opponents ML together you get +560 (bet365) in order to get 0 points they have to lose all 3 games so it seems a much better play

I have a Qatar total group points line of 2.5 that is juiced to the UNDER - I want to auto-play the UNDER but I cannot lie, given the level of corruption amongst Qatari officials and FIFA, I am *very* suspicious of a potential fluke Qatar win after some super shady PK or something.
