The Baltimore Orioles look to continue their surge up the AL East when they finish off a three-game set against the Seattle Mariners this Fourth of July at T-Mobile Park.
Ryan O’Hearn carried the Orioles to victory with three RBI on Wednesday and enters today on a three-game multi-hit streak, and the first baseman is featured in my Orioles vs Mariners predictions for July 4. Find out why in MLB picks below!

My analysis
It was another big night at the plate for Ryan O’Hearn in the Baltimore Orioles’ win on Wednesday as he hit a solo home run and added a two-run double to account for three of his team’s four runs. Baltimore continues to rack up the wins, going 6-1 in its last seven contests, and now holds a two-game lead in the AL East.
O’Hearn enters this afternoon’s game with multiple hits in three straight outings and a .400 batting average over the past week, so I’ll look for him to keep that trend going with another two-hit outing.
The first baseman leads all Orioles hitters (min. 10 GP) with a .294 average on the season and is coming off his best month so far after batting .321 in June. I also like how the left-batting O’Hearn matches up against the Seattle Mariners starter, Bryce Miller, as the Orioles slugger is hitting .296 vs righties with an .867 OPS (compared to .263 and .526 vs lefties).
Seattle has been one of the better pitching teams in the majors this year, but Miller has not necessarily been a contributor toward that of late. He posted a 4.68 ERA in June and hasn't pitched through the sixth inning in three straight outings while allowing four or more earned runs in five of his last 11 starts.
Orioles vs Mariners same-game parlay (SGP)
The Mariners continue to struggle at the plate during their current four-game slide, averaging 1.25 runs per game while scoring more than one run just once. Seattle has managed just one measly run against Baltimore through its first two meetings of the series.
Obviously, it’s going to be hard to win many games when you simply can’t score, and I don’t see that changing for the Mariners against Orioles starter Corbin Burnes. The RHP is 6-1 in his last eight starts and posted a stingy 2.12 ERA in June.
